Problem would be demographics. Reynoldsburg on the Beast Side finds itself going groid. And we know that groids do not maintain nor repair nor keep up on fixing that which whitey built. Mebbie the owners of the space can open up a liquor store/check cashing/stolen goods-fence operation and make a go of it.

No one cares! If they can't hang with the big boys Home Depot and Lowes they do not deserve to exist. I hate going to those so-called mom n pop stores with minimum selection and crappy service and their hours suck, who closes at 6pm on a weeknight anyway?

Glad to see this type of socialism defeated I bet their owner been crying about obamacare too.

Narrow minded outlook there, RTP. Why would I want to drive 20 minutes to buy from a fascist company in bed with the CS-ers ruining our county....ie Spanish signage and day labor congregation points selling nothing but Chinese crap. The new local Ace nearby has a number of American made items, and the owner is finding and stocking more of it.

Who closes at 6pm? A sole proprietor who wants to be home for family dinner who just may have done enough business that day to keep just under the next higher onerous tax bracket.

In 29 years I have yet to visit Connell's. I got my fill of that kind store at Grove City Hardware and the GC Farmers Exchange in the 50's and 60's. Looks like Bobby will have to find a new doorway to sleep in.

You just don't like free market system. If it's Chinese made it means guaranteed low prices because their non-union workers are clearly outperforming the American counterpart. The majority of our consumers now speak Spanish so it makes perfect sense to cater to that audience. You can't have the government to pick winner and loser like Obama bailing out GM and use our taxpayer's money to do such socialistic agenda.

Keep dreaming about the imaginary American made products, by the way, if they do exist, why do Craftsman no longer offer lifetime warranty on their awesome "american" tools? Their warranty expires a year from date of purchase because yes they are made in China.

Whitey are scared of the blacks that's why they moving out, sad that they don't stand their ground it's that cowardness you are losing the battles.

We call that laziness, if you choose not to work hard in this country, do not expect to compete with people who work harder than you. I blame the union for that 40 hr week work crap it makes you lazy.

. I guess you don't fix stuff. Sometimes you cant find things that real "fix-it" people need in big box stores. You could go into Connell's, find one of the old gents who worked there, describe the item that needs repair and chances were very good that they could rummage around and find what you needed. I loved Connelly's .Even the smell and the warmth of the pot bellied stove. Also the warm hearts of the men who sat round it, who allowed a mentally damaged man from Reynoldsurg to come inside, warm himself by the fire and catch some needed sleep. I will miss it all.

Such a shame! Mr. Connell got sick, and passed away. He was somewhere around the 80s. No one wanted to run it, so it has to close. And that was the only place you could by single parts/seeds without having to buy large packs ;6;

Why don't you start a swap board?

Trade your unneeded extras for what you do need.

Name a CEO that "fix" stuff! Do you think Donald Trump would get a plier and fix his plumbing? Does Mark Zuckerburg have that much free time wiring up the Ethernet cables for his company? We hire people to do such things, next thing you are going to tell me how important it is to pick your own fruit and veggies and glorify the hard worker from our migrant workers. It's called low end entry level work.

And if you whitey love and miss that place so much, why did they move? Do the black thugs scare you off?

Great comback! Way to change the topic when losing an argument! Now explain to me why Bexley the next door neighborhood has yet to let their community rotten like Reynoldsburg? Or Gahanna, or Upper Arlington! We take care of our neighborhoods with pride and we fight off leechers, we don't fking move to Pickerington just because the parasites moving in and retreat.

So you need to have some pride and rebuild your community, for sure.

So how did your Goldie Bears do against Marion Franklin? U.A. couldn't buy the WIN? So sad. I'll bet more than a few of your "slight" boys cried on their way to their 5-to-1 homes.

They did cry their way homes, at least they have homes not a double wide trailer on E Broad. You know your city should really be annexed by Columbus. The kids are the same thugs, poor people and low property values, very similar!

A double-wide on East Broad? Really? It must be on it's way to Pataskala. There's a Lowe's, The Limited and there's even a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired ranch set back off the road but no double-wides. Come out east and see! Then go to Lynd's and pick apples. The change of air will be good for you. But be careful you don't hold your nose too high. A grackle might try to nest in it.

I think he mistakes the Brice and Livingston area as being representative of Reynoldsburg. If anything, that part of the city is more representative of Columbus and the thugs that take over after whites flee the coop. Reynoldsburg is still an okay place.

When did Lynd's move to Reynoldsburg? There is a Lowe's on Hudson St. and 17th Ave are you going to tell me the Linden is a great area to raise a family too??? All I need to know is their average home values around 80K compared to 250K in Dublin so maybe you should look up the football scores of Jerome and Scioto and try to make fun of their football teams, the least you can do.

So why did Connell close again? It's such a great place in the Columbus eastburg.

Brice/Livingston is part of Reynoldsburg and Pastakala is not. Just look at their average home values you have to admit there has been decline in the past 20 years. They need to be annexed by Columbus so is Groveport their schools are constantly failing levies.
