Reader wishes for this with Alberta Hunter...
Sorry--link doesn't work.

I have no problem stating that Alberta Hunter was one of the sexiest octogenarians around--and so far as I know completely hetero.

So--what's with all the giggling?

You've never heard a woman call another woman sexy before?

Embarrassed?

Uh no, can't say I've ever called another woman sexy ever, nor anyone I know. I've never called another man sexy after I got married. Nice looking, sure.

Embarrassed? he11 no. You know me well enough to know I don't get embarrassed. Have fun with whomever or whatever you want Reader.

Apprently you have denied yourself the pleasure of Ms. Hunter's performance.

I wish I would have seen it too. One of my daughters is paying part of her college tuition by cashiering at a local grocer.
If I had witnessed a grown man acting like a little punk in a checkout line, I would have left my cart right there, waited for you in the parking lot, and made sure that the roofing nails I keep in the glove box for just such special occasions got put to good use as soon as you closed the driver's door.
I'd get great pleasure asking you if you needed help with fixing two flat tires, especially when you said "sure thing", and I told you "Sorry, I'm kind of in a hurry. I'm here to pick up my daughter. Some assshole fcked with her on her first day of work here, and she's really upset."
woof
Well thanks for proving what I've known all along.

You admit you had more items than required to use the express lane. You also admit having a lot of coupons.
You felt entitled. You broke the rules. The express check out is just for that express ie quick.
You seem like an entitled jerk to the rest of the patrons and employees. Follow the rules, your time is not more valuable than others.
In this case the customer is not always right. The employee was doing their job to enforce the rules.
While I don't care for bob's behavior, if he were a black person performing the same act and a white cashier acted that way I'm sure duke and several others would have a different reaction to said story.

I don't care if you cared for my behavior or not. More people should start speaking up when people get crappy with them.

LMAO. Yes, you are coming off as frustrated as h#ll, especially since Bobby's getting his strokes from beating up on Kroger personnel instead in the backseat of the Acura.

It's called walking with your wallet and your feet.

Confronting them doesn't always work, just raises the blood pressure.

Always reward the good, ignore the bad.

A couple of restaurants I eat at, the waitresses always get at least 30-35% tips. Why? They treat me well. Treat me badly just once, I never go back. I would have just left the whole kit and kaboodle of groceries on that U-serve thing and left. Regardless of any 'savings' from coupons. That's not saving anything if you have to raise your blood pressure or take sheet from idiots. You ARE rewarding them when you feed their arguments--it's what they look for and want.

Yeah, that "apparently you've denied yourself" was getting creepy to me....Glad you came on board.

In all candor, Bobby's meltdown on Saturday has kept us pretty entertained. 250+ posts..

So I've noticed. Bobby has his periodic meltdowns. Not long ago, told us all he was quitting Topix cold turkey but returned to generate hundreds of posts. He obviously never did quit.

I'd never tag-team with Glitter's hubby. That's even creepier than the attractive comments. None of us are into that, Reader.

Getting snippy, aren't ya?

I come, I go. I have a life away from Topix. I'll go down the wabbit hole, make a left at Albuquerque, and show up again. Nothing new in my MO, Reader. You know that.

It also kept me entertained as well. At Kroger, telling the story here and telling everybody at my nephew's birthday party on Sunday.

LMAO It is amusing. And I'd do anything right now but watch the State of the Union.

So, tag-teaming with Glitter's husband? Twister's getting desperate.
