It was around this time of night when many lives were destroyed almost instantaneously. Forever remembering my friends David, age 10 and Kerri, age 12 who lost their lives way too early. Hard not to also remember Kerri's mom, Janet, who took her own life a little over a year later. RIP friends and all those who lost their lives that night.

My condolences on your friends. I didn't know anyone from there but remember the flood.

I rode through there a couple of weeks after the flood. You would barely get your ankles wet crossing the stream but the mud line was 15 or 20 feet up the hillside and there was a fire engine up there in the trees.

It is Nature's way of flushing out her pores.

Too bad you couldn't swap places with them but that would be considered polluting the waterways.

Thanks, two of my friends were lost and another three weeks later due to a bike accident. It was a trying time for my town. But it has become a reason for the community to gather every year and have a small festival - turning something negative into a positive I guess.

I'm not sure what you meant by your last statement. But one of the major reasons for the flood is because there was so much junk and debris that had been laying around the area. The water pushed all that debris together which created the force that ended up destroying houses and killing people.

Yep that's pretty much how floods work. You're a genius.

Something bad is going to happen to you someday. And you'll deserve every part of it.

It already started with me having to look at the pic of Medusa you're using for your avatar.
