First of all, this just isn't a liberal, or conservative problem. This is a nation wide problem, period.
Depending on the school system in your location, if things are not going right, the PARENTS need to bond and have a meeting with the school board. Leaving bad attitudes and name calling at the door please!
We pay tax dollars and if they are not keeping up their end of the bargain, you as a group, can threaten not to vote for anymore levies until changes are made to improve! Squeaky wheel gets the oil! Money talks, especially when it comes to school boards.
This is absolutely a liberal problem, they're the ones that are controlling the cirriculum.

It's called "social engineering".

Where do you think "revisionist history" came from?

Why can't liberals ever own up to their screw ups?

It is a mix of things. I'm only saying the more eyes on the child's progress, the better.
Would you work different if your boss was watching or never around? Almost everyone I've noticed works a lot harder when they're around. And who is that child's main boss? The parent(s).
On the other distraction... Yeah, the phone and internet era seems to be a big culprit in peoples focus towards real life interactions. I've seen kids texting a certain person, then when they meet up, they start texting another person. Unbelievable amounts of time on phones.
A lot of the parents are dumber than the kids. They teach them how to be gagsters.

You didn't research very well. Do you think the educational system JUST started to change in theses last few years? It's been on a down slide for decades.
That means both parties had a hand in the pot.
With the Common Core beginning in 45 states,it was in the works for many years, by educators and the governors of the states, which were BIPARTISAN.
Why don't you try to research what Texas has put in their text books! Texas is not included in the 45 states.Talk about "revisionist history"!

In my daughters district, parents are protesting against the " open enrollment" in their district.
Residents pay taxes and here comes bussed students, who pay not one dime and the school district gets more money per student for the open enrollment kids than they get for the tax paying students.
In my district, they are greedy and waste money, and spend it on wasteful projects. Then turn around and ask for a levy.
I don't trust any of them.....so political any more. They lost the focus on the kids and turned it on themselves, for power.
I'm just sick of paying for levies and then waste the monies!
Ahhh, yes. The ole "They're' bussing ' them in" complaint. I remember how the good white folks treated the black innocent children who were sitting on those buses in the late 70's. The shock and horror on the black faces of those children when grown men carrying signs with derogatory messages on them, and yelling obscenities at the innocent children who had nothing to do with it and wondering why these angry red faces were screaming at them. Those were the days.

No doubt -- autocorrect. But that doesn't address the situation.
I have witnessed my physician use preprinted scripts for commonly used meds, scripts WHEN not electronic have the identifying doc and his phone printed, etc. Plenty of failsafes.
I have horrible handwriting, have been told my signature looks like an EKG printout. Some of this is due to arthritis in my hands, much due to laziness. But believe as Bizz does, it is an important skill to learn.
Agree, yet disagree. I filled a script the other day, looking at it, MD chicken scratch and all, knew it was wrong. 10mg vs. 100mg, big difference. If you blindly trust the MD and RPh to ensure all is well...take a notepad and write down what you hear, if that's what you need to do to ensure your safety. I do acknowledge that I have a medical background so it may be a little "easier" for me to pounce (that word was for Catman and all other kitty lovers) on errors.

Challenge! Next time we see each other you need to sign your last name, see if it makes sense to me in your handwriting.

those days suck then and today.

It is wrong and despicable.

only advice I can give you is to garner the strength to ignore racism completely, and it goes away for you.

and yes it is unfair you have to even deal with it.

Work daily on being deaf and as blind as possible.

No it won't be easy........but spend time ignoring by praying for the peoples souls.

Best advice I can give you.

Last time I looked, you bleed red just like me. In a foxhole racism is ignored without thought.

That is reality, and the days of peace arrive when hating ends.

If someone takes the time to write a letter in cursive, then I know it's worth reading.

The same can't be said for emails, text messages, and twitter posts. What percentage of the communication we're bombarded with every day is worth a damn?

What makes you think I don't know this BS started? I never mentioned anything about when it started.

Stay focused, there little liberal. I know your first instinct is to defend, deflect, and keep the subject changing at all costs in an attempt to befuddle your opponent. Just so you know, that doesn't work, particularly on me.

Now, to address your first issue, this liberal BS just getting going way back in the mid-seventies. You liberals have been working on this for forty years as far as my life is concerned, in reality as far back as FDR and his "new deal scam", even further still with Wilson and his liberal BS policies as the leader of the "progressive movement", which in reality just makes things pregressively worse.

I'm sure we could go even further back and trace the destruction caused by liberals throughout history, at some point we'd probably find ourselves researching the plans to destroy America by the demoKKKrat party as they burned crosses and were cutting eyeholes on their klan hoods.

As for you using the term 'bipartisan', liberalism is all one sided. It's always their way or the highway. Look at obastardcare, liberals are making the idiots, who were brainwashed in the public schools, think they getting a choice. Everyone knows the liberals definition of "choice" - you can have any plan you want as long as it's obastardcare.

This way of thinking isn't new, another well known demoKKKrat, once said "you can have any color you want, as long as it's black".

Not a liberal!
Independent!
No need to foam at the mouth.
I can see two sides, and I only passed on what I read about the common core,a bipartisan effort. Look it up yourself.....
When you call names in a discussion you have already lost the battle.
