Bigotry requires intolerance. I'm not intolerant of Catholicism at all. I believe you have every right to prescibe to any ancient mythology you like. Likewise, I reserve my right to mock it. Isn't America great?
I'll remember that the next time we're having a good old laugh over a slapstick black criminal or welfare case.

This is rather interesting. I would love to unpack this a bit more.

How would you define the activities you've described above in light of the idea you've put forward that if critical speech is applied to an identity like Catholicism, such speech would reflect bigotry?

You're trying to say that your actions, as well as Che's in this exchange are mislabelled as bigotry by the overly sensitive?

Ok. The part I'm asking you to unpack is how her speech would label her a bigot while your similar speech, examples of which you've highlighted, would not.

Is it the nature, the target or the tone which you feel separates the two?

She has made it known that she hates Catholicism and Catholics without exception (save for leftist politicians.) I only dislike blacks who are criminals and leftists (kind of like the whites I dislike.)

So, the target, then?

What part of 'not criminal', eluded you?
You're a "lawyer," right?

I'm sorry you're upset that I went to a high end college, but you're really looking pathetic, especially since you're too much of a coward to disclose your alma mater.

Now lets see, administrators at a "distinguished" college act to protect its public image by taking purposeful steps to conceal sexually oriented offenses perpetrated by numerous members of the college football team by invoking "privacy concerns" and treating the conduct as violations of the student code of conduct instead of pursuing criminal prosecutions.

Sounds like something I've heard somewhere before, but I just can't place where.

Does that ring a bell to you?

Yep...That Colby College is a fine place.

The best. Never any crime, and in the long honored tradition of Benjamin Butler, only the most esteemed and ethical members of society are accepted as students, and instructors.

A veritable utpoia of higher education, where nothing bad ever happens.

The White House comes to mind about 15 years ago...

Again, what part of "not criminal" don't you understand. That was never the case in Steubenville.

When have I ever indicated that my alma mater was exempt from the laws of human nature?

I never claimed that you made such a statement. The information that I have posted is intended to rebut the statements that you HAVE posted.

I'll leave it to you to use that Colby education to figure that out Paco.

As for your strange desire to know where I graduated from, I would point out that unlike some on this board, one will not find a single post from me haughtily touting my education to others as conclusive proof of membership in some erudite, cultivated class.

I know where I came from Paco, and I don't have to pretend otherwise.
