North Carolina has become the seventh state to prohibit state judges from considering Islamic law in family cases.

Gov. Pat McCrory allowed the law, which was passed by state lawmakers in July, to take effect without his signature.

North Carolina now joins Arizona, Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Tennessee, according to Religion News Service, in banning Islamic Sharia law. A constitutional amendment seeking the same change in Alabama will be on the 2014 ballot. In Missouri, the governor vetoed an anti-Sharia bill.

Muslims will never stop trying....they're relentless, and are trying to wear the constitutional laws thin.
Why it even ends up on ballots is BS!
Some lawmakers are so ignorant....as we know.

Good for North Carolina, avoiding any future uncertainty....Islam presents a unique problem, since we embrace freedom of religion.....

We should use some parts of sharia law. Specifically the cutting off the hand of a thief. Just think of the benefits. The polls for instance in closed primaries no need to ask which ballot they want. Missing a hand you know they are a democrat.

That's not all America embraces, dear Blue......
We value life, respect of others beliefs, respect women and their rights, respect men and their rights, values concerning morally, ethically and freedoms of our people.

Why it's even considered to be put on ballots is ridiculous. If no other international laws are allowed because of our Constitution, then WHY ARE THEY APPEARING ON BALLOTS ACROSS THE COUNTRY?
Being politically correct is killing this country, slowly but surely......it's ok for them to step on OUR rights but then they are given special privileges.

The law enacted by the NC legislature is pointless.

I would compare it to enacting legislation prohibiting family Courts from considering maritime law in making their decisions.

It is not pointless in a society in which Muslims and/or others seek to subjugate Constitutional rights to cultural rites.

These are the same yo-yo's who attempted to legislate an official NC state religion.

By statute, no court in this nation may apply Sharia Law to any case before it.

The NC legislature might as well pass legislation prohibiting the application of Martian Law, and it would serve just as effective a purpose.

International and/or foreign law are inferior to Constitutional rights.

The End.

I agree.

The Constitution of the United States protected us of Sharia Law by adding the 2nd Amendment.

ZERO chance Sharia Law is mainstream in the USA.
