Well well well what do we have here?
"...said the district could break even if it could raise the average price of the 61,000 meals it serves each day by 17 cents per meal. However, the federal school lunch program will not pay more than $2.88 for a lunch and $1.85 for a breakfast, and 80 percent of the districts students qualify for a free or reduced-price lunch, he said."
I'm surmising that a quarter of the food is stolen before it even makes it to the cafeteria, and I base this on the fact that administrators cheated on fraudulent grading schemes so as to get bonuses so the lower level 'workers' would be allowed their own mini-grifts.

Ho-Ho-Ho...(you know what I mean)?
Tis that time of the season for the gimme-rats to line up for free school supplies. hey now, I got an idea...Why don't you ask for 60% on the dollar when selling your food stamps, then set that 10% hike aside for paper & pencils.
Another thing, Get a job now that your rug-rats are away for the day, because your annual 50% food stamp rate aren't setting them kids nor my wallet on a DIET.
