Interesting history.......
Nice sketch on the history of the monument. However, the author ultimately misses its relevance to current events, as George Santayana so simply stated:

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

The men memorialized by that monument died during an epic national struggle over economics and the growing power of centralized government.

Th Civil War soldiers who this monument was erected in memory of, are probably spinning in their grave, should they have known about the turmoil in this century.

The trouble with you is that you lack the power of conversation but not the power of speech.

The problem with you is that you whine like a 3 year old if anyone has the audacity to disagree with you.

"Disagree" is not the equivalent of "demean."

Here we go again. Crying about civility from the crew who throws the N word around like they are saying hello and constantly tries to demean Mpnf based on their own fantasies about her sexuality. Spare me.

A warped, broken record is what you are.
Blissfully unaware of the irony and uselessness you echo in the background of the current discussion, whatever it may be.

And, per usual, when confronted with his abject hypocrisy, Tip abandons the conversation for the insults he so piously claims to detest.

Dude, since you refuse to rise to a level of intelligent conversation, I am attempting to communicate with you at the level at which you stubbornly remain...warped, broken and ever so grating.

You mastered that part long ago. How is it working out so far?

Perhaps a Bible quote to 'prove' your point?

Remember...you asked.

Proverbs 6:16-19

There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
