Come on, Tony. The cops are at the door with a warrant. They need to get your assault rifle. What are you going to do?
Invite them in to search exactly the locations stated on the warrant.

No, Tony. Look at the first post. It is Pat Buchanan predicting a revolution and a bunch of you guys HOO Haaaing it. But so far, I haven't been able to get a single one of you rebels to say what in the heck you plan to do as part of your so called revolution. This makes me think, there isn't going to be one after all.
Hope the revolution dont start on a friday as i have to go shopping with the wife. And saturday is a big no no as i have to babysit as she's going bowling.
Tuesday would be good but i would have to be home by ten at the latest.

You really will see a revolution with that type of abuse of judicial power.
If your ex girlfriend is a cop, or prosecutor, maybe so.

It's the politicians jobs to do that. They've already done it, haven't they? Is it legal for you to own a fully automatic weapon?
Ummmm yes it is. I simply need the license. I could afford it. I could easily pass the background check and I could afford the rifle. I don't need a full auto at this point in time. My AR-15's and AK-47's do all the range work and hunting I need them for.

Dave, I told you before. The police are much too decentralized and far busy to be overly concerned with your guns, absent some other reason for showing up at your door.

As an example, most people busted for manufacturing meth aren't popped as a result of a search warrant being executed.

Usually, a structure catches on fire, somebody's gettin beat up by a loved one, or grannny's havin a seizure, and someone calls 911. Next thing ya know, somebody's needin bail money.

That warrant will say the house, vehicles and all out buildings. When executing a warrant, the police are allowed to look in any closed compartment in which the items listed in the warrant may be found.
But very good. You have chosen to assert and defend your right to possess your assault weapon in spite of the ban and to litigate the scope of the Second Amendment. Much more civilized, reasonable and safe than staging revolution.
I think the difference between you and these other knuckleheads, Tony, is that I suspect you have experienced what war looks like and respect that it isn't like the movies. These other bigmouths have never seen someone bleed out with a hole through their chest and have romantic visions of their "revolution." That's why you can't bring yourself to say who you would kill over this. I'm glad.

I'm not writing the law so I don't need a definition. If you are asking what I think should be done, I think a good start is restricting clip sizes and armor piercing and hollow point rounds. Neither big clips nor those types of rounds are necessary to defend oneself.
Again you are wrong. Hollow points are made for maximum expansion for extra stopping power. They are made exactly for hunting and self defense. Define armor piecing? My 308 with full metal jacketed rounds would go through most body armor. So would my 7mm magnum rifle. They would not go through ceramic coated metal plating though. A Kevlar vest wouldn't stand a chance though.

No you're just plain wrong about what hollow points were designed for and why someone would have them. You've proven time and time again in your anti gun rumblings that you have very little knowledge of firearms. You simply spout off what you hear from msnbc.

The second amendment comes down to this. You don't want to own an assault rifle? Fine don't buy one. Just don't try and take mine away because you are afraid of an inanimate object.

Time and again in my anti gun rumblings? I don't think I have posted an opinion about guns other than the post that you are responding to. That would be one time.

Hollow points do more damage than regular rounds. I don't care why you claim they were designed, there is no need for them except to do as much damage to humans as possible.

You also don't understand the second amendment.

You've posted multiple anti gun lines in this thread and multiple others.

Also you stated there was no purpose for anyone to own hollow point ammunition. I again point to my previous post that they are designed for maximum stopping power when hunting or self defense. I use hollow point ammo all the time during hunting. My CCW guns also hold hollow point ammo. Not to kill but to stop the attacking threat. I have no desire to kill anyone. And god forbid I ever have to shoot someone my first thing will be to call 911 and ask for an ambulance for the person I have to shoot to protect myself.

I must not remember my "multiple anti gun lines." Why don't you direct me to them so I can remember?
