A jury returned a guilty verdict this morning in the trial of 20-year-old Jamal Sealy, accused of shooting and killing an East Side gas-station clerk during a robbery last year.

They found him guilty this morning and he gets sentenced this afternoon? Isn't there usually some delay between the trial and sentencing? Will he get the needle? Why am I even bothering to ask?

Sure, pray for him, but don't minimize what he has done. Because it's easier to get a life without parole sentence. It's also cheaper, both in court and afterward, when the murderer is in prison. Look it up.
