Columbus Mayor runs lots of conventions out of town.

His stupidity and extreme politics cost the city of Columbus millions upon millions of revenue because he does not like them and says so publicly.

Republican convention.....they flipped him the bird.

the NRA canceled a convention and moved it specifically because of him. I read that the NRA convention will deliver almost 100 million to the economy, and Coleman told them he was not interested.

Downtown Columbus deliberately said no....the rest is BS covering the moron mayors azz.

A mayor is a CEO and expected to bring in opportunities for the city to earn income. Columbus mayor has a litmus test, and does not care if he runs off more than he brings in.

Maybe Coleman will build another park on the bike trail to wash downstream again before the grass seed sprouts. No biggie....just a few million washed down the crapper again.

You want a metropolitan city.....elect a real mayor and not a political worthless hack. i hope Nationwide moves to Dublin.

Although Columbus was the most logical place to hold the GOP convention in Ohio, it's hard to compete with Dallas and Las Vegas. However, why Cleveland and Cincinnati are still technically in the running is a mystery. One is utterly hostile to the GOP and the other is the bosom of RINOism. Perhaps Boehner is stroking the RNC.

Perhaps the RNC realized that with folks like you in the area who are too fearful to attend school board meetings, they would be better served to take their business elsewhere.

The RNC snapped to attention when the money flow was to be cut if the conventin was held in Colemanistan, home of the world's largest open air toilet.

I certainly understand Cleveland, but KC and Cincinnati? Just shows how brain dead the GOP is when it comes to messaging.
Given all the campaign money spent here and given the fact that this is the area that decides Ohio, you would think they would understand that holding the convention here with a decent candidate tips the scales in their direction.
But since they don't get this, Ohio goes to Hillary. It won't even be a contest anymore.
For many years the state the GOP convention is held has been going to the democrats.

Yep. Last time it was held in a state that went for them was 1992.

find your cowboy hat if you plan to attend.

sin city just would make the news as hypocrite republicans party with hookers and drink all night.

Harry Ried is from Nevada, and that alone is enough to ban Vegas as consideration as those morons re-elected him.

Take the money to Dallas where they will appreciate the tourism.

Cleveland and Cincinnati re-elected Obama.....avoid those cities as repayment for stupidity as well.
