There is also no idiocy curfew. As VA Doc says, I'm a pretty medium-duty bicyclist myself (100 miles per week, give or take). Riding a bike on a busy public street during the day, let alone at 2:30 in the morning does not show good judgment. And Darwin usually catches up with people who don't have good judgment.

I am a bicyclist ... moderate last year, this year I'm toying with commuting downtown at least a couple days a week. The entitlement mentaility and the lack of common sense of bicyclists never ceases to amaze me.

Sorry for your loss, but riding a bike at night is just plain DUMB.

It's called perception. Some people are good at it, others aren't and have to have it spelled out for them in a book. I would rate myself at about the 93% to 95% level of being perceptive and having a gut feel for things (top 5%). Perceptive enough to be a relatively prosperous kulak, but not enough to have the mega billions.
