What is your point? CNBC is not a credible source. More than likely, you are not a contributor to the tax system, probably an abuser of the system.

I would like to at least get to vote in all the government entities that have their hands in my wallet. Just the school districts would be nice.

Oh my goodness! Call out the troops ring up the reserves, those poor multimillionaires won't be able to buy Christmas or pay the heating bill this winter. What kind of country have we become to let all those pitiful billionaires suffer by paying 15% on their dividends! Oh no! What will they do now? They won't be able to feed those kids of theirs because they pay lower tax rates than their office workers. We're bad for allowing this. Little tiny Tim and his handicapped mom on SSI are about to be evicted but we can't worry about them, noooo! We have to do our best to be good Republican Christians and focus all our energy on millionaires taxes this Christmas!!! God bless America!

Tim's mom should have thought ahead and realized she could not afford a kid before getting bred.

I've worked for an individual who is worth more than Romney, pays more taxes than Romney and donates more money than Romney. He also does business in multiple countries, I sign checks in 5 or 6 currencies, depending on the past year, and WA, you know nothing about the wealthy, how they live, hurt, die, suffer illnesses or pay hugely more than their fair share based on their amount of consumption. I have been his right hand and operations manager, domestic and international since 6 months after I was hired.

Romney didn't lose this election, the country did. He was a business man, ethical, amiable and job creator.

Obama has never held a job, run a company or done anything. He's an amateur.

As for whoever started this thread, go to the Fortune 400 individuals and see who pays the highest taxes.

Stupid stuff.

Your rants are getting old. Some of the richest people in the country are Democrat politicians, and they have no desire to change the tax code for themselves. Had they wanted to do it for "Little Tiny Tim and his handicapped mom on SSI", they would have done it when they had their supermajority. I see Obama has put cutting Social Security payments on the table for future recipients. FAIL.

Social Security is NOT AN ENTITLEMENT. It was prepaid by the individual and their employer the entire time they were working, along with medicare.

Cut the friggin food stamps that a lot of receipents just trade for alcohol and drugs. Start drug testing receipents of any federal aide. Eliminate the 'conferences' all the federal agencies take that cost us millions. Make Michelle go a year without a vacation.

Obama is not one bit serious about cutting spending or creating jobs.

Yep. I pay my own licensure fees, pay for all my conferences, and pay for all my continuing education.

I say if Obama and family wants to take a long vacation that is not pertaining to business then they should pay out of pocket for it. I'm sick of the Obama family telling us all to do less with more while they spend money like it's free. Lead by example or keep your mouth shut.

Isn't Obama responsible for the highest tax increase in history on middle and lower class Americans by instituting Obamacare? Hell, even the wealthy get a tax increase if their health insurance plan is "too good."

There are many people who must have the best health insurance policy money can buy, otherwise they could never afford all of the medications, surgeries, tests, several types of doctors, etc., required to manage their incurable illnesses. What a bunch of s**t! I have yet to hear any exceptions for people, regardless of income level, with serious health conditions that require them to pay for very expensive health insurance so they can afford to have their serious health condidtions treated.

I'm tired of hearing how making $250K makes you "wealthy." It certainly does not! People making $250K are not comparable to people making $5M a year. Big fricking difference. There has never been any justification as to where the income of $250K makes you "wealthy." I hope Obama doesn't have to answer that question without a teleprompter...otherwise he won't know the answer.

How 'bout your malpractice insurance, Doc? How many months do you have to work to pay that? And you've probably never had a claim. Add Obamacare, where intends to cut what hospitals and doctors can charge, the extra taxes, and a million doctor's will walk out of the proffession.

Because 98% of Americans (or maybe 95%) of Americans make less than that. By definition, those who make $250K and more are most definitely wealthy. If my family made that I would most definitely feel I had it made. You are arguing from the wrong perspective.

You're totally correct. What worries me the most is that small businesses, who are the largest employers, that are family owned and file through a 1040 are going to come under same higher tax rate as individuals making $250K and over. This will mean 700,000 jobs lost IMMEDIATELY as many will close and more will lay off.

Obama and his team have no concept of business, and in all honesty, don't care about the middle class. They'll take campaign $ from the wealthy, support the poor with entitlements and let the middle class go to hell. Then you will see the USA collapse.

But, this is what we've got.

A family of four in NYC, Boston or San Francisco is not wealthy on a $250k annual income. They are in the low to mid-range of upper middle class.
