"Obama’s remarks also, once again, went out of their way to single out Catholics. As Fr. Z pointed out:

Off the top of my head, I can’t think of a foreign visit to a Islamic nation where he told people on his arrival that they shouldn’t have madrasas. Can you?

Did he when visiting, say, Israel, say “You Jews shouldn’t have synagogue schools and you Muslims shouldn’t have mosque schools.” I can’t remember. Did he?

Of course not — because such comments would rightfully invite criticism and be condemned.Outside Catholic circles, I don’t see anyone talking about what Obama said about Catholic schools in Ireland.

Protestants should be offended as well.

And here’s my biggest concern — Obama really believes what he said. He really does believe Catholics and Protestants having their own schools is “part of the problem.” And so does the left."

Bad idea.

Catholics should be separated from real Americans and put into camps pending a final solution to their unwelcome presence.

Can you direct me to the point on the video where President Obama calls for an end to Catholic Schools?

"Segregation breeds division".

This must be a terribly difficult concept to understand, for some.

Some seem to seize on the President's expression of that concept and whine like children that it means that the government will attack private religious schools, and is about to purchase lots of locks for their doors.

Crazy people who love playing "victim", because while touting the benefits that accrue to the students taught there, they cannot simultaneously think in abstractions about the negative societal effects of segregated religious schools.

To merge and be together is what I got out of this.
It's all in the interpretation and who's interpreting.

But when the segregation is by race and taxpayer supported, it's all good, right Douchie?

I would hazard a guess that if you were a resident of the City of Columbus, or if the Columbus Public Schools has an open enrollment policy with the Hilliard Public Schools, and you wished to have Paco Jr. attend CAH to finish out his high school education, he could freely attend.

I suggest you call the Boards on Monday morning.

Just as non-Catholics attend parochial schools all over this country, Douchie. Funny how you left that out.

Catholic schools in the Bronx serve more than 28,000 students.

But not all of those students are Catholic, with non-Catholic parents sending their youngsters to the parochial schools to take advantage of what many consider a superior education.

What does that have to do with the false allegation of this thread?

My responses have been to address your daddy's double standard regarding "segregation."

What double standard is that? If you are as bright as you think you are, and not projecting with your little insult, you should be able to cite to statements by Duke that support your claim.

In Post #4, your daddy states:
"...the negative societal effects of segregated religious schools."

When I point out the taxpayer funded public Africentric High School in Columbus, he replied in Post #9:
"I would hazard a guess that if you were a resident of the City of Columbus, or if the Columbus Public Schools has an open enrollment policy with the Hilliard Public Schools, and you wished to have Paco Jr. attend CAH to finish out his high school education, he could freely attend."

Catholic schools also admit non-Catholics, as I demonstrated. But oddly enough, Douchie's only criticism of "segregated schools" is reserved for them.

Did you swallow a bottle of stupidity this morning, little girl?

Where did Duke say that the negative societal effects of segregated schools only apply if the segregation is based on religion?

You do understand that the context of the thread is the misinterpretation of the POTUS's comment about religious separation in Ireland, don't you? Do you understand that when someone comments on something in context, they are not necessarily commenting on every other circumstance known to man, don't you? I think you do. I think you are just trying to manufacture a fight with Duke by assigning to him a position he never took.

Of course they do Paco. Funny how you left out how segregation in public schools has evolved over time, or how it is just as closely associated with economics as it is with race, and always has been.

So what is your point?

Once again Paco...are you saying that you wish for junior to change schools?

I say...have at it.

1. Your daddy got caught and called out.
2. Obama's remarks were not misinterpreted. You do a poor imitation of Jay Carney.
