The sheriff in Medina County, as one of his first acts, was to ask for Medicaid expansion, he hasn't made a single statement on upholding Constitutional rights.

If I am not mistaken, the McLean County sheriff said earlier last year that because of Illinoi's foot-dragging on concealed carry (because of Chicago Democrats) he would start issuing concealed carry permits to residents of his county to be excercised only in McLean county.

Ohio sheriffs are on the bandwagon too:

We are not yet in double digits in Ohio, plus many rural sheriffs are old time Ds, while winning them over will be huge to the cause, many are gun banners and fans of Sherrod Brown.

Many of the sheriffs are mainly interested in revenueing. Though most of the ticket writing comes from the small municipalities that live off of it. Bridge trolls indeed.

What's important is who is the Sheriff, and for police, who is the mayor/city council/trustees.

The individual cop will likely not terminate their own employment over the Constitution. But if the elected officials nullify, then they are not faced with that conondrum.

Contact your county sheriff, mayor/city council or township trustees if you live in a twp with a police dept.

Tell them too add their names to the list opposing new gun laws, and if they don't, consider running against them in November.
