Just missed it. It plays here fairly regularly. Check back. Sounds like fun, haven't done the Rocky Horror in years... salt, umbrellas, newspapers, damnit Janet!
Never have seen it.

Spook, you have to go sometime. And do not see it on DVD until you've gone to the theatre with the equipment. It is truly a blast for you virgins. I went several times in high school, it was a "cult" thing back then.

Knew you'd come back with a response as such. It's a joke from the "cult"--how anyone who is a first timer to a performance is referred to.

Just for you Spook:

It's all in good fun. We substituted some items -- kosher salt for the rice (convenient substitute, theatre owner didn't get mice with the salt), but you get the idea now.

I'm guessing Spook isn't up for that kinda entertainment.
Just a hunch.

I saw it in New York, with audience participation. People also below the screen acting it out. The audience & ones acting it out were in the costumes like in the movie. The friend that took us told us what to say during it. It was awesome. It's not a movie ~~ it's an experience.

Gokeefe is right. Don't get the DVD until you see it in person at a theater.

Another substitute. Where we saw the movie in Toledo was really a hole. For a while, the owner let customers bring in whatever... then he started to clamp down. For what it's worth, in the 70s and 80s, this theatre raked in money from RHPS and other harmless or campy stuff--in 1989, it had a 50th birthday party for Gone with the Wind. Then about 12-15 years ago, turned into a porn theatre, demolished a couple years back. Wasn't in the most desirable area of Toledo. Not too far from where the Jeep plant was, there were some pretty marginal areas there.

My favorite part was Meatloaf. But I don't want to ruin it for you. So I'm not telling.

Have you ever seen Pink Flamingo? That's a weird one.

They don't think dressing up like ghay extraterrestrials and dancing in the ailes is way to waste a Saturday night.
They'd rather participate in the interactive gun fight, after the Boyz-n-da-Hood matinee.

Now your talking real life James Cagney and Scar face. Nothing like Crips and Bloods standing in line together to get in the matinee, without one fight. Then upon exiting, some one's $100 dollar sneaker gets stepped on and the gun battle begins. Now that's participant entertainment, red and blue bananas on heads to portray the actors in the movie! You white guys don't know what fun is.

Whatever the scenario might be, movies influence a lot of after the flick encores. Wonder how many "tried" racing their car, after a Fast & the Furious viewing? Or, role played a love scene?
Plus, How many movie quotes have you heard people repeat...."Run Forest, Run!", "Say Hello to my lil friend", etc.

<rolling my eyes>

It's all campy, schmaltzy fun--parody of horror movies and Frankenstein.

Jack Benny did this crap when my parents were young--he'd dress in drag.
