Excuse me for asking this, as I don't want to pry into your personal business. Is your "fella" in the military?
I know that the US Military had left Iraq and then the Obama Administration tried to get a new Status of Forces Agreement with the US installed Iraqi Government, amending the Bush/Kamal al-Maliki agreement, that new SOFA request calling for 5,000 troops to remain in Iraq. That attempt failed, and there are no troops left in Iraq.
But Kuwait, I never heard anything about the US Military being there, so if you choose to answer, it would be enlightening.
He's no longer my fella...I ended our relationship after he left for Kuwait. And no, he's not in the military. He is a contractor for the U.S. Army, so there are military personnel over there.

Oh and maybe you should look up what congress told Bush when he asked to go to war, leading to the explosion of our national surplus...
Just a little research for ya...
maybe we should discuss Thomas Jefferson and Harry Truman in this discussion.

They are not in office for many years, just like George Bush.

PS: surplus.....you are drunk on stupid.

look up by year the federal deficit, and surplus.

you want the etrade baby shock face when you see growing debt under Clinton?

I can't think of a single Political office he EVER held where there wasn't some SINISTER Outside Influence skewing his political races.
Oh, I get it! So every politician goes to some training seminar that teaches them how to become a President, right? And Obama is the only POTUS that EVER had big money interest backing him, is that what you're saying?
Oh, and let's not forget the MSM coverage and encouragement, daily, for the military to attack Iraq. Should I post you a link to news outlets two weeks before we invaded?

Let me point something out to you, Gumby. Oil prices, including gasoline prices, are a function of world market manipulations, and are not generally influenced by a U.S. president. That was true under Bush too, but the exception there was that Bush was instrumental in knocking the world's economy on its ass. The near-depression situation, caused by the Bush mob, resulted in lower gasoline prices for a time.

As to the unemployment matter, if you think you can blame congressional Democrats for high unemployment, your case is dead. Obama has tried to get a jobs program passed for a long time, only to be faced with Republican obstructionism. Despite them however, he has managed to improve our economic situation.

It is in the interests of the Republican party to keep the public ignorant. If they knew what was really going on, and how the right is hurting our country and it's people, the Republican party would be in ashes. The Democratic Party needs to do a better job of educating the middle class about how the Republican party is taking them for a ride - in steerage.

so in your opinion, when is the economy Obama's?
you gave the first 4 years of Bush credit to Clinton's policies, so by using that thought process the entire economy is all Obama.
The economy will be Obama's when we can undo the wasted billions spent on the Iraq invasion, the deregulation which caused wholesale looting by the unleashed corporate vultures in this country, and the Republican obstructionism preventing faster job growth.

There are people who take advantage of the system. And then there are a lot of people who don't and legitimately need help. I support those people. I find it to be my civic and moral duty to do so. I'm not so judgmental as to look down my nose at people who have made a wrong turn here and there. I'm not going to look down my nose at people who have disabilities, disadvantages or are late starters. I was raised better than that.
It doesn't look like you were raised well at all based upon some of your comments in this thread. Everyone helps people in some way or another, that's not what this discussion is about. It's about stealing from others and causing them to struggle in order to 'help' a group of people you think should receive the benefit from the labors of others. Reduce big government and there would be money to help that group of people you are referring to. If you were more aware, you would realize long term hand outs are not necessarily in the best interests of those who don't want to help themselves. It creates a dependency that is hard to break. It starts the cycle of poverty that will plague that family for generations.

All non medicaid populations should pay a user tax for ea kid they send to school. They should also cover the costs to transport their children. Govt. should not be involved in paying for anything other than for academics. No uniforms, stadiums, pools, trainers, etc. Those millions saved could fund an insurance program for the folks who can't get insurance.

The U-6 unemployment rate was 13.6% when Bush left office, now it is 13.9%.
The median household income (adjusted for inflation) was $52,546 when Bush left office. In 2011 it was $50,084. Incomes dropped more during the "recovery" than they did during the "recession"!
The workforce participation rate was 65.8% when Bush left office. Now it is 63.3%.(that means job creation isn't even keeping up with population growth).
The percentage of part time workers, which had been hovering at around 16.5% since the Clinton era, jumped to the 19.5% range under Obama.
If you are trying to suggest that our economy is worse now than under Bush, I've got some shares in Yugo stock to sell you - cheap.

California: All D control

35th in poverty rate
48th in high school graduation
Worst in business climate
Highest in unemployment

Sits on billions of barrels, if not hundreds of billions of barrels of shale oil, no drilling.
Highest number of illegal and legal immigrants.
Home of the top five polluted cities

Why would anyone vote for the people who ruined California?

Do you honestly think anyone is going to believe your bs? You talk in circles which is expected since you don't know squat about a free market economy. The middle class have traditionally been republican. Small business owners are republican and middle class. They are the largest employers and they can't employ thanks to oscumma. Now that this class is being taxed to death by the oscumma followers, it is slowly vanishing. The media has been keeping the masses ignorant and it plays out every day. What's in your pipe?

Of course you wouldn't know how bad the economy is. You don't own a business. You don't have to worry about the increase in taxes you are paying because you don't pay much if any. You are mooching off of others and this is the best time in decades to be a moocher.
