Here's why it's not a "private matter" ...

Douchy might be a Muslim or Hindu. Maybe he's a Satanist or he worships the sun. In that case the gospel of Matthew need not apply..

From all the insulting hateful things you post to people of Christian faith over the past 4 years, I would say they make you very uncomfortable. To say the least. It's pretty entertaining though to see you get so flustered over what other people believe.

Despite your heavy handedness, here is why it is:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

"All men have a natural and indefeasible right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own conscience. No person shall be compelled to attend, erect, or support any place of worship, or maintain any form of worship, against his consent; and no preference shall be given, by law, to any religious society; nor shall any interference with the rights of conscience be permitted. No religious test shall be required, as a qualification for office, nor shall any person be incompetent to be a witness on account of his religious belief; but nothing herein shall be construed to dispense with oaths and affirmations. Religion, morality, and knowledge, however, being essential to good government, it shall be the duty of the general assembly to pass suitable laws to protect every religious denomination in the peaceable enjoyment of its own mode of public worship, and to encourage schools and the means of instruction."

You see, in this nation and in this state, my books trump your book.

Actually Panty Boy, I find much of what certain so called "Christians" say to be very insulting".

In response, This thread is a very good example.

I asked a simple question a few days ago, and look what happens.

Here's an excellent example of a person who claims to conduct himself in the manner taught by the loving, forgiving, Christian faith:

Now Panty Boy, if you think it is wrong for me to conclude that I want nothing to do with that sort of person, and wish to keep that sort of agenda as far away as possible from positions of political authority, that's fine.

So be it. I see it differently.

I have a few questions. Was it OK for the terrorists to torture and kill OURS in Benghazi? Do you have a problem with terrorists being put down like the rabid creatures they are? Removing vile scum from the Earth? You have a problem with that?

God didn't write the Bible!,I bet he sure inspired it though!...If mankind were to live by the ten Commandments alone, just think how we would have Heaven right here on Earth!!.....No other set of laws anywhere on planet Earth would create such a perfect existence for humanity to exist by ,in total harmony....What a shame!,we just can't pull it off......At times, and experience,it's easier to Sin,then it is to be rightous....Shouldn't be that way, should be the other way around.......Especially when the World seems to be caught up in so much SIN these days, and appears to be the norm,to the non-believers........

I hate to jump in on this, but i must. first i must tell you that my spelling isnt the greatest and my iq isnt the highest. judge me on that if you want. there was a time that i made comments about God as you did, in my very young years. that was before i got to know him personally. I not only sought him out by scriptures but also in prayer. For i needed a change in my life.Of which i spent the majority of the juvenile years and as a young adult in prison and BIS OR FSB as it was known as back then. Mansfield and such a few times. But as i sought out Jesus, he revieled himself to me. and not just that alone, but he showed me what heaven and hell would be like. I would not wish anyone to go to hell ever. in your worst nightmare, you could not fathom what it will be like. And yes, some of these t v preachers make me sick too, because most of them are preaching a lie and will be damed for it if they dont repent.Being a christian and being saved is not about having chains on you, but rather removes them and sets you free. from what? from satin himself, whom you serve. make no mistake, you will serve one of the other whether you realize it or not.and there will be no athiests in hell. So before you continue to say such bad things about the Lord of Lords and King of Kings, dare to invite him into your life one time and ask him to reveal himself to you, and give him a chance. Please do this and i ask it of you in all humillity.

I have never tried to force God down any ones throat. I have asked people to give God a chance in their lives. and I know that there are alot of people out there who call themselves Gods people and do not show the fruits there of, and God knows it too. but he can still reign them in if time provides. there are so called hiporcrits in church. my pastors always said, youve not only got to set beside them in church, but youve got to love them too! The Lord will sort them out in time or bring them around. So make no mistake, the devil goes to church too. I also tell people to seek out the truth for themselves too. let no one man dictate it to you but try it all according to the scriptures. I was over at the hospitel one night with my wife, siting in the waiting room, when a ma came in and set down beside me and started talking to me about the Lord. We talked for a short while, and when he got ready to go he asked me if i need anything. I told him to pray for my wife. he did so and left. as he was walking out the door, the power of God fell on me and for three days I was just over come with Gods presents. Now this was a man of God and God confermd it to me. If the fruits are not there, you will know. But first you have to lern about th fruits and duch things, and the only way to do that is read the Bible and ask God to reveal it all to you. it dosent all happen at once. a good one God church helps. got to go for now. God bless all of you.

I get that and I appreciated your sincerity. Perhaps when I get older it will become clearer but right now I really can't stand any religion and it does need to be separated from the state. History has shown again and again mankind fought wars, committed genocides, and oppressed women and groups in the name of the Lord and the more of this kind of fundamentalism spread across the globe the less I want to associate with.

It is fine if one wants to practice what he/she wants to believe, just do not use it as "righteous" way to commit such horrific acts.
