Americans [and non-citizens] cannot be held personally responsible for anything anymore.
And U.S. working taxpayers will pay for it all.

Look at the food ads on TV, and portions served in eateries....
Everything is mega jumbo, and people just can't resist.....

Thank you for inferring my point without me expounding.

I will gladly pay for counseling, behavior management. My professional opinion, this decision by the AMA gives carte blanche to the obese population to say I have a disease, to be fixed on our dime, i.e. gastric bypass, lap band, etc.

I'm not implying that obesity is not an epidemic. I have had plenty of patients with a diagnosis of obesity, however, not reimbursable. This opens the coffers for SNF's, hospitals, MD's to get reimbursement.

I will admit, they have not come up with a standard. I am awaiting those recommendations to fully formulate an opinion.

You are correct. I reiterate a hamburger from McD's happy meal, size of the "adult" hamburger years ago.

You already take meds for a bogus 'disease'. You are just hoping vapidity makes the list next.

The reason they do that is that customers do not want larger portions, and successful businesses thrive by giving customers what they do not want.

The only thing I've gotten from McDonald's in the last 2 years is asian salads. Supposedly its healthy, yet too big for one person. At least I can compost the leftovers

Are you sure you didn't mean to direct this response to BJ?

Educate yourself on what an ICD9 code is before you run your fingers over the keyboard again. We all know what you can't find....

Even teenagers won't eat McDonald's burgers if they've been exposed to anything better. I can't remember the last time I saw my kids with anything from there.
The only fast food salad I really like is Wendy's Chicken BLT, but $7.00 is ridiculous.

I just found out the asian salad was discontinued in this area in 2011, only available in California now. I guess that speaks to the last time I was there.

Every once in awhile I like McD's. Still harbor anger at Wendy's for taking away the taco salad. Not when they ditched the tortilla bowl, but I used to eat that at least 4x/week with a baked potato. Burger King's salad is pretty good, for fast food. I miss Hoggy's salad, had a myriad of veggies in it that made you go, yum, what was that. Chick-fil-A does a good job too, spicy dressing.

If you can't tell, I can start a thread about best take out salads. lol

Wendy's finds itself with marketing problems (since Dave died, and that's been 11 years) as well as being squeezed in the middle ground of price and quality with McDonald's and BK on one side and Five Guys, Smashburge and In-N-Out on the other.

Yes there is. The first time I went to Mexico, by day seven, all I wanted was a Burger King whopper; craved that more than any pregnancy yearning. Always have a whopper (okay have fun with that) before we cross the border.
