Explain all you want, Trace Adkins. The Confederate flag represents heritage to you, but hate, racism, and treason to most Americans.

Lately, it seems apologies come so quickly without real remorse, after a dastardly deed is done!
A simple case of people never thinking before they open their mouth,or do something that will cause both curiosity and harm to a situation.
Sigh........

The confederate flag is more than regional pride, it is like the burka or hijab to the Muslims, a symbol of power, power than liberals fear and dread, Southern Bible Belt Male aggression. It must be crushed at all costs anyone who would dare wear such a symbol marginalized. However these same liberals fight for the burka and hijab, showing that they have zero principles in the things that they do.

The same liberal that fights the confederate flag supports the burka. The same liberal that gets upset over a movie or cartoon that disrespects Muslims supports the comparisons of Barak Hussein Obama to Jesus Christ.

“As a proud American I object to oppression of any kind. To me, the battle flag represents remembrance of my Southern lineage – I am a descendant of Confederate soldiers who followed that flag into battle. I advocate for the preservation of America’s battlefields and honest conversation about our Country’s history...To those who view the flag as a symbol of racism, that was not my message and I did not intend offense.”

-- Trace Adkins

Bravo, Mr. Adkins.
Put it right back on the revisionists.
As another historian said, the Southern Cross "will always been an undying symbol of hatred and slavery for the ignorant."

If he had to wear ANY flag in his ear, and if he's a proud American, as his statement says, he should have worn the Stars and Stripes.

Duh...

Trace Adkins is a huge supporter of Wounded Warriors and constantly visits the troops and performs. He's a patriot. And a man's man.

Look at a list of his songs and you'll see and God and country, and bo-donkie-donks, all through them.

Plus it doesn't hurt that he's so hot that any woman out of the womb swoons when they see him, and then he speaks....Whoa......

Why can't he wear a confederate flag earring when anyone else where's whatever they want, where they want, including Obama and that creepy Muslim ring or whatever it is..........oh, yeah. He's a white male.

Forget it. Trace will never lose his following.

I think the country might have bigger problems.

The only place a Confederate flag belongs is in a trash can, same as a Nazi flag.

I am not a fan of country music from the last 30 years. You may be familiar with some of my postings about the South, in general I have no use for the area or the people, especially in the rural areas.

I am proud that none of my ancestors ever owned people, and I have researched it. It's a despicable practice and descendants of slaveowners should repudiate them and all they stood for.

For the next four years I will spend almost all of my vacation dollars in blue states only.

You're right, actually thought about that after I shut down the computer.

All hammer and sickle (i.e. Communist) flags belong in the trash also.

Nice try, you know that's a false argument. The U.S. outside of the South changed their minds and their laws and outlawed slavery in their states. New England also was a leader in the abolishonist movement and, the most salient point, did not initiate a war to protect the "right" to own humans.

Real Americans fly the American flag. They do not celebrate a failed attempt at secession to preserve racial slavery.

Like everything else, there were kind slave owners and cruel ones. Read Chesapeake by James Michener.
And while the New Englanders were screaming about slavery, they were burning women at the stake (literally) for being witches and using the 'dunking' chair for any woman who spoke back to her husband.
Quakers were detested and shot on sight in New England. Maryland, Va and other southern states welcomed them.
Back in England they were decapitating Catholics and impaling their heads on London Bridge.
Midwest and west, they were killing native Americans, herding them off their land and onto 'resservations' and our Army was giving them blankets infected with smallpox.
Man's inhumanity to man has no bounderies and is timeless.
I love the south. The true southerner's and their hospitality and genteel ways. No one ever bakes one pie, they bake one for their family and one for a friend or neighbor.
Now I've only really spent a lot of time in Georgia.(Oh, I love Ray Charles too), but I don't blame anyone for something their relatives or forefathers did. One of mine was a pirate! Another an Earl...so go figure.
One of my best friends is from Ohio.
One thing you do notice when you cross the Mason Dixon line, you stop for gas, somebody passes the time of day and chats with you. People look you in the eye and smile.
But's let's not relive the civil war. I'm in DE and there were slave houses on this farm. My daddy had them torn down. It was an embarrassment to him.
My eyes aren't going burn if I see a confederate flag. Not any more than seeing 'F*ck Y*u' on the back of some dude's hand.

Live and let live.

New England has their own cruel, human on human, past. No reigon is fault free. We've actually come a long way in that area.

Can't we put that back 300 years and live in the present? Which sure has it's problems.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Virgo

It's a rather low-key day with a few disappointments to cope with along the way. If you were looking forward to a social event, such as meeting up with friends, it may fail to live up to your expectations. It might even be delayed or postponed through no fault of your own. There could also be problems about how much something is going to cost, forcing you to scale down your plans to make them more affordable.
