Sorry for the double-post.
Topix ate my first post, so I assumed it was rejected due to the URL.

Someone's going to accuse you of believing that we deserved what happened in Boston.
I'm not you Reader.

I would not have had to wear one. Western women are allowed to dress in their regular clothes. The people who hired by boyfriend said that it would be in my best interest if I were to go to now wear tops that exposed my shoulders or midriff and to try to wear shorts or skirts down to the knee. Once within areas like hotels and other Americanized areas, I could honestly wear whatever I wanted. Other rules we were given was to never speak opening about our atheism. Atheists are actually disliked more than Christians. My boyfriend was instructed to never even look at another woman and if he met a man in public and he had his wife with him, he not only could not look at the wife but he could not ask her husband how she was, what her name is or offer his hand in a handshake to the woman. If a Kuwaiti tried to offer us something, we were instructed to turn it down three times, but if there was still an offer after that, we must take it. On the flip side, if we were out in public eating and people sat down next to us to be sociable, it would be very disrespectful not to offer what we had. We were told that their culture is very into sharing. If we were to go into someone's house and outwardly admire something, more than likely the owner would try to give it to us. Lots of rules we were given - none of them involved me wearing a burka.
I don't think it's a restrictive as you think it is. Not to say there aren't areas that are, but many of our friends who lived there said they quite enjoyed it and never had any problems.
Kuwait wouldn't even exist if it weren't for America muscle and sacrifice. I would think they would be somewhat grateful.

According to a colleague of mine, they simply looked at our liberation of their country as a business transaction, with our troops as employees and casualties as workplace fatalities. They also consider their bill paid in full.

No--that could never happen, could it?

This latest report courtesy of the Obama administration did, in fact, receive coverage...and the appropriate derision.
From The New American:
The New American, BTW, is the mouthpiece of the John Birch Society.

Those are the folks that William F. Buckley regarded as right wing extremists.

You really are out of the loop, aren't you? The John Birch Society is as mainstream conservative as it gets. It's been a co-sponsor of CPAC for years.

Incorrect. They got to be a CPAC sponsor in 2011. That was the sole time they were allowed in. They were booted in 2012 along with GOProud.

Guess who got more attention.

That said, the opinions of JBS regarding the UN are mainstream among conservatives. I don't know much else about them.

CPAC is a tool of the ACU, dominated by Grover Norquist and his Gulf Arab money.

Like with FOX, I don't trust anything tied to Gulf Arabs.
