No, it would just be fitting and poetic justice. I'm sure you'd be more than happy to see Richard Moore take out a Muslim extremist supporter. Don't deny it.

There were Northern conservative democrats.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Lausche
To name a few.
The Dixiecrats were a party only in 1948. Wallace formed a third party in 1968, but it was pretty much only him.
The GOP under Lincoln once included the Northern Democrats (1864), so in that regard it is not the same.
But to argue that it was the socialist party, as the Lost Cause supporters do, is barking too far up the wrong tree.
In Wisconsin they founded the GOP, I fail to see how Walker today differs that much from the founders.
You do know there were several different Civil Rights Acts passed, correct?

I stand by the statement that republicans of the past are not the republicans of now. No republican today would have fought against slavery. Not because of the slaves, but because it was a states' right issue.

Liberals will never admit they are wrong about Islam due to their pathological hatred of real Christianity. This mutual hatred of Christianity is what they have in common with Muslim sort of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" is her logic.
That's funny. My mother is a christian. I hardly hate her. Most of my friends are christians. I hardly hate them or their beliefs. What I hate is hypocrisy. People use their religion to divide themselves.

I'm not wrong about Islam because all Muslims are not terrorists. I don't hate Muslims. I don't hate Christians. Many Muslims have spoken out against the violent actions committed in the name of Muslim. Many Christians speak out about the actions committed in the name of Christianity.

It's that simple.

Those are minority positions within each party, I don't really think most D politicans have ever demonstrated being pro life, in the regards to Constitutional Amendments and SCOTUS picks.
I can't name a single national D who is a real 2A supporter. Joe Manchin said he was, but his stupidity has destroyed his party in the state.
Of course, because politicians use their platforms to lure voters. Lots of them talk the talk, not many walk the walk. The point was that there are exceptions to every rule.

The GOP of the past wanted to simply block the growth of slavery. It presumed that it would die out in the South with no need for federal intervention.

The GOP wasn't against states' rights. Hamilton was, but he was of a different party.

Good luck trying to explain it to him. Those don't count, I guess because when you're killed or maimed by a psychopath you're apparently not nearly as dead or maimed as when you're killed by a religious extremist.

What will they take him out with, a copy of Meim Kampf or the communist manifesto? They are afraid of inanimate objects like guns so that leaves words on paper.

The majority of my beliefs probably don't fall in line with any category. Geert Wilders is, in my opinion, just as bad as people on here. The only way I'd say our beliefs are similar is that he's against the Islamisation of the Netherlands and I'm against that for America too. As well as trying to make America any kind of religious nation.
