You got that right, Spook.
They're trying their darnedest to change the world to their way, Sharia law.
I have a few choice words but they would delete my post.

I don't this can be accurately described as a situation limited to a specific culture/area but instead, sadly, true that sexual assault victims can be revictimized by their justice system and culture in any context where women's rights are given less weight than the rights of men.

This woman is Norwegian and in a muslim country that treats women like chattel.
She should not be a victim to their brutal laws against women.
Rape is rape and the police, who are men, believe the woman committed a crime, where in fact, she is the victim.
She deserves justice and that's why she went public, to gain support.

This innocent flower of Nordic womanhood was out drinking at 3 am and told the cops conflicting stories. I don't blame them for being skeptical.

If you do not wish to be subjected to Islamic laws, do not visit Islamic countries.

Transposition is a muslim loving traitor. It claims to be an american woman in England that recently married a Brit. It always takes the muslim trash's side and is always putting down freedom and promoting surrender to communism or islam. No matter what or where it is, it is insane. Lead to the brain cures crazy everytime.

Hello BJ,
She was there working for a few years. She was drinking or not, it's no excuse to rape a woman, against her will, especially if she has passed out. The Sharia law is prevalent in the Arab states and is abusive to women, no matter the situations.
You wouldn't catch me in any muslim country, period, for the reason that women are treated like garbage.
They're owned like a herd of cattle and treated as such.
Pitiful.

Your thread title is erroneous as Dubai is a city located within the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and has nothing to do with Saudi Arabia. The woman claimed that she was raped after consuming alcohol which is widely available in the UAE but forbidden in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

While the woman's sentence may be harsh by western standards, it's quite common for Mid-Eastern police and courts to blame females when they are raped regardless of their age or nationality. Many Muslim rape victims are murdered by family members (usually a father, brother, or husband) for disgracing the family's honor (known as "honor killing"). Due to the stigma associated with being raped, Muslim rape victims sometimes commit suicide (known as "honor suicide").
