Loose cannon on deck wouldn't have the same punch now that "idle strap-on dill-d'oh on the bath house floor" is more apt.

Loose cannon on deck in your white house with a lot of loose ones in DC itself. I wonder if tarzan can whup Syria. probably not. Those Alawites will probably beat tarzan's butt. If the Benghazi people can whup its butt, I know the Syrians can do it. big bad Hussssssein Brown, meanest man in the whole town will probably drone em to death. I mean this is the bad man who took out the jerk in Pakistan while the seals sat back and watched. Message to Americans, never fear, Hussssssein is here.

I am also with Putin when it comes to this stupid war Barry wants to have in Syria. Call it war fatigue if you will, but Putin knows a lot more about what needs to happen in Syria than President Affirmative Action does.

Enough of the warmongering.

Putin gains a lot of fans for three things:

1. He is overtly Christian as opposed to the secular morons who run this country. At the same time, he isn't an evangelical and evangelicals have a way of turning people off.

2. He has the balls to tell the gays to stuff it.

3. He is Russia (and the Slavic world's) version of Ronald Reagan. He followed the hapless Gorbachev and Yeltsin who were both good for us, but their Jimmy Carters.

Vladimir Putin rocks!

Also remember one thing:

Russia has always seen themselves as the protector of all eastern (and specifically Orthodox) Christians. Syrian Christians (mostly Eastern Orthodox and Eastern Rite Catholics) fare better under Assad and the Sunnis just as they did under Saddam Hussein ... one reason why (I think) Russia supports Assad and not the Muslim Brotherhood.

Oh what a tangled web we weave when we are in league with the 9/11 7th century rebels. Rejoice, it's a no win for the stain. I'm lovin the irony. The "peace" president forced to take action and win or loose we loose.
I'm ok with them killing each other. I would be more ok if we left them alone for a couple of centuries and took care of our neck of the woods.
God deliver us from the tiresome twerp.

Don't you just love the irony?

1970's:

-Soviet press as little more than a propaganda organ
-Central control of the economy
-Soviet authorities couldn't spy enough on their people
-Collectivist mindset

2010's:

-American press as little more than a propaganda organ
-Barry wants central control of the economy as much as he can
-US authorities couldn't spy enough on their people
-Collectivist mindset (You didn't build that)
-Western confusion about some basic truths of life and western culture

Meanwhile, Russia has a 13% flat tax. Putin especially sees it as an important building block of economic growth. Amd Putin doesn't have a lot of confusion about what qualifies for marriage (one person born with a pee nuss and another born with a vahj ihna).

THAT, MY FRIENDS IS WHERE WE'RE AT TODAY.

PUTIN IS THE WORLD'S REAGAN. BARRY PLAYS FOOTSIE WITH REGGIE LOVE.

Exactly. Not all Russians are Stalins. Matter of fact, Dzugashvili wasn't even Russian but Georgian. Soviet, Yes. Russian, No! Putin, definitely Russian! Post 13, my sentiments exactly. Sit back and enjoy them killing each other.

EB, Our enemedia took its marching orders from ex-CIA chief GHWB and made Yeltsin into a drunken baffoon character while doing everything to prop up the enemy chief Gorbachev. Our government even fed the Soviet Muscovites as the central Soviet government collapsed. Yeltsin was a protege of Gorby's who as mayor of Moscow traveled to America, and while in a supermarket in Arizona --upon seeing 40,000+ foodstuffs/consumer goods-- realized the Soviets were criminal liars and murderers.

Yeltsin is A Number One in my book. BushCo. Number one? Scumbag. Gorbachev? Beggar to the West who needed funding for the existence of his "foundation"? Sap.

The question for us presently is: During the collapse of the Soviet Union, what did Vladimir Putin do? What was his ideology during this upheaval? Whom did he align himself with? What organs of the state did he consult/ act with and within? Scholars of the Bolshevics will know these answers. White men will not be surprised.

My big problem with Yeltsin was that he let the Jews run off with all of Russia's wealth during that era. The fact that he allowed so many Jews to become wealthy Oligarchs while the Christian Russian people were impoverished makes me no fan of his.

BushCo? LOL ... I love all the Republican warmongers trying to get their side to support yet another war. Ten years of war and a trillion dollars and nothing accomplished. I was listening to the Jerry Doyle Show on the Newark station radio ... and he pretty much said what I'm thinking ... No more wars. AND NO MORE BUSHES.

My family is from that part of the world as you all know. I used to make fun of them because they all loved the guy. I gotta admit I was wrong about Vlad. Strong on defending his nation, TRUE Christian (not a wishy washy Westerner) and a flat tax. What's not to love?

Interesting factoid:

Vladimir is also a Russian form of the English, French, German, and Scandinavian "Walter".

Eh, IMO the younger Vlad was far better than the current version. He's gotten too much involved with the Mafiya and the oligarchs, on top of the wreckage of his family life.

When he started out, oligarchs were being imprisoned and fleeing left and right. He co-opted the rest, when he should have finished the job.

On the merits, he's still far and above any Western leader since 1990.

Younger or older, he restored pride to the Russian people. He truly believe is their Reagan. Yes, he was helped by high energy prices, but a lot of things also fell Reagans way. That's the way the ball bounces.

1. The concept of what it means to be a true Christian is different over there than it is here. Its not so doctrinaire and legalistic. Its more about spirituality and doing right by your family than it is reading the bible and following a set of rules. For example: Most people over there would never abort their own baby ... But they don't care if you do.

Based on my experience, however, their ACTIONS and how most of them lead their lives is very consistent with by-the-book Christians even if they don't use the same lingo and even if the same issues (abortion) don't animate them.

2. Some low grade corruption among public officials is expected, tolerated and even something to aspire to.

3. Putin would be too heavy handed for our country, nevertheless you have to respect his love of Russia and his clarity for telling things as they are.

Bottom line is that people respect a strong leader who tells it like it is. That's why he resonates with his voters and with an increasing number of people on the right.
