Moment of silence, fine. Patriotic crap gets on my nerves. Call me a subversive, but that's how I feel.
I volunteer to step aside; and let them shoot at you.

making more out of getting shot at; and artiliary flying over head?

calling you subversive is the wrong verb choice. Many nouns are a better fit; and more accuratly descriptive of human debree like yourself.

PS: who cares what nerve is struck in a chitbag like you?
that is how I feel.

Shall we all get back to the wonderful and honorable stories? I think we all are enjoying reflecting about some of our world Heros. Guess what BOBBY - we can all skip over your responses since they aren't responses and make you disappear. We have the freedom to ignore you. So be it! I will acknowledge that you never did answer the question......What have you done for your Country? Don't worry Bob we really, really don't care! LOL

I can't speak for the other fourteen who judged him 'nuts' but the United States is 235 years old, not six centuries.

In addition the last line of his comment is self-serving in the extreme. He is still alive to comment on Topix so Memorial Day is not about him.

And putting on the uniform of a government employee does not make one a hero.

You go live elsewhere you stupid bimbo. This is my country.

putting on that camo uniform takes balls and intelligence.

you possess neither

your country has spilled blood all over it from fallen hero's.

PS: is it weird all your posting names are reference to a penis?
you have no kids, so we know you never used it for that, and have no girlfriend, so again no use.

Post links or stories about vets you know here.

Here's a good one on how the German Nazis were defeated by the bombing of their oil supplies.

it would be you dropping down begging to spare your fat azz.

cleaning the latrine was performed by bulldozer, then moved.

you best get dinner before it gets covered up.

Kiddies, this is narcissism on display here. Now you MANDATE that we all be forced to think the same way and treat you like a saint? For what? Doing a lot of push ups and making sure the mess tent runs efficiently? Your inflated sense of importance borders on the level of being Obamaesque.
Make sure those latrines are clean, soldier.
Again, I have ZERO PROBLEM with the military. I have a HUGE PROBLEM with larger than life big government imagery being shoved down my throat. I worship my family, my friends and God. I don't worship "the State".
1) Narcissism? Really? Since when did you ever have a soldier come up to you and demand you pay homage? Memorial Day originated after the Civil War. It has absolutely nothing to do with Obama.

2) You are so ignorant of your history you make me sick. You have no clue what these people have experienced. I don't. All I have are a bunch of papers, photos, and written memories from my dad to give me a hint of what it was like to be put into a tiny ball turret, shooting a 50mm gun and watching people die from treetop level sight, and being shot right back at. I have no idea of what it was like to know a human being crawled into a tiny ball in the belly of a plane not knowing whether he would come back alive or if they would simply hose out that ball when the plane returned crippled and barely able to return to its base. All I have is the knowledge it had to be frightening as hell. And yet they did this.

3) I hear narcissists are those who are totally absorbed with themselves. They can't bear to hear about another person's successes, experiences, or strengths. They will always turn the conversation back on themselves and their needs because they are so insecure and need to have a lot of attention paid to their needs and desires. That to me does not sound like a veteran or someone who served their country. It sounds more like you and the Big Schwantzhead.

Thank a vet. Reflect when you see a flag over a grave.

LOL! More projection/warped analytical skills. I am getting beat up on this thread because I won't pay homage to government employees as "heros" just because they wear uniforms.(Thanks for that one, Johnson.) RS demands we conform and pledge fealty to "the State" and their glorified suicide bombers. Libs and conservatives share this very unattractive trate: They force conformity.
No one is enforcing anything. You are free to think as you do. But you also do not have to intrude where you are not wanted -- you have no need to go in and minimize what our military has done. This IS the trait of a narcissist. You must need "male enhancement" and Little Johnson is just your ass kisser.

Glorified suicide bombers? You asshole. What I AM referring to are the men and women who have served. They deserve dignity, honor, respect. You, our resident p^$$y, have slapped them in the face with your disrespect.

you can hide behind your screen masterbating; and calling hero's thugs. Those hero's died saving you that right.

But come out from behind your screen to spread your chit.

the sound of a buttstock slapping you across the face is real music to the ears of real americans. A bullet is too good for you.

you can't attract a women, can't fight your own battles; and are a racist.

I served with K Co. 75th Rangers in Pleiku in 68 and 69. I remember each that I served with as if it was yesterday. Most were killed, some passed state side. There are 3 of us left. Gene, South Carolina, Barry, Pittsburgh.
43 years later we still call each other weekly. We meet every 4th of July week-end in D.C.
Brothers forever.
Army Rangers? Thats an accomplishment, special forces, right? I worked with a youth minister, ex-rangers, we taught the youth group together in paint ball, I wore his old bullet proof vest(paintballs bruised me). He definitely knew about combat, you could tell from his manuever plans before each battle, even though it was just paintball battles, he definitely knew what he was doing.

I appreciate and thank whole heartedly all areas of the military and their families. Even just being state side in the military is a sacrifice for the entire family, moving from place to place, having all of your possessions in storage somewhere else, being away from loved ones and family for years on end. All of this sacrifice for everyone else's benefit too. Very generous and selfless sacrifice indeed.

THANK YOU GUYS so very much!

If you want to look at military people in some kind of warped, melodramatic, heroic context, nobody is stopping you. But just as I don't consider policemen, or fireman, or football players to be "heroes", I don't consider soldiers as heroes either. And it is my right to roll my eyes when you and the rest of the "Freedom Fries" lemmings start getting melodramatic about killers.
I don't consider Jerry Sandusky a hero either. Nor did I get melodramatic over "snitches" turning a pedophile into the authorities. It was my right to say that McQueary was a wimp who had no guts, no glory for having to run to daddy and Paterno -- no morals.

Grow the eff up. Jealous because you've never done anything worthy of appreciation or admiration in your life? Someone who's had the courage to put on that camo, pick up that gun, and defend deserves our appreciation at least.

You've slapped draft dodgers before, you whiner.

It doesn't matter the reason for the war, any war. It doesn't matter how the men and women got there or their reasons why for being there.

You had to be there.

You had to experience first hand to understand, that's why many do not speak about it because you wouldn't understand.

You didn't hear the screams, you didn't see men risking their own lives to save another. You can't imagine the bond that's formed, how your life would be gladly given for your brother, and many were.

Tell my wife I'm sorry and that I love her as they took their last breath.

America has never gone to war to conquer but to set people free.

They didn't save me from squat. They went on Truman's safari in Korea. They went on Kennedy's safari in Cuba. They went on Johnson's safari in Vietnam. They went on Reagan's safaris in Lebanon and Grenada. They went on Bush 41's safari to "bring democracy to Kuwait" while the Kuwatis were making fun of you ya-hoos calling you their SLAVES they send off to get shot at while they lounge in Monaco. Then we have Clinton's safaris in Yugoslavia and Bush 43 and his idiotic safaris.
Pray tell, how did any of this "protect" me?
Pray tell, what do you do to justify your pathetic existence besides being a racist, misogynistic, hating pig on Topix?

I'll give ya a long time to think about that. My car repairs are done so I'm outta here to enjoy the last few hours of my day off.
