Compassionate posters here are attempting to spoonfeed you.
And your stubborn toddler mouth remains closed.
Grow up.
Tip, you made a statement that you had, and still have, no idea about. You were repeating what you heard someone else say with no independent understanding of it. If you understood what you said, you would have simply explained your statement. You couldn't then, and you can't now, even with all of the spoonfeeding that you claim is going on. I shouldn't take pleasure in exposing you for the fool that you are, but I do a little. Thanks for making it easy.

That you continue to remain proud of your ignorance is no surprise.

My statement is easily verifiable by historical record and plain observation.
Prior to 1865, we referred to ourselves as these United States of America.
Afterward, the reference became the United States of America.

A seismic shift in our constitutional framework occurred -- the consolidation of power away from the states (and thus, citizens) to what we now call the federal level.

Lincoln laid the foundation for the centralized behemoth which intrudes on nearly every aspect of our lives today. And it was all about taxation, as it remains today. He couldn't let those Southern tariffs go...and he was willing to provoke a war with his countrymen to claim them.

It is clear, che. you cannot recognize a tyrant for what he is.
No; in fact, you demonstrate your love of tyrants.

Don't ever change -- you are a living monument to the reason for our nation's current state of affairs.

You just defended your comment that Lincoln's centralizing power in the federal government violated the constitution by saying that it violated the constitution. That's not a defense of your assertion, it is simply repeating your assertion. If you want to suggest that Lincoln violated the constitution, you should be prepared to explain what provisions of the constitution were violated and explain how they were violated.

Che,
I'll offer you a tip. You may begin by studying the Compromise of 1850 and the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850. Report your findings as to how Lincoln viewed these issues and how his views may or may not have affected the direction of the country at the time, and moving forward how the history of the time period fits into the political discourse of modern America. I look forward to reading your report.

I'm way more interested in how Tip constantly makes claims about which he has no idea what he is talking about and then regresses to name calling when asked to explain himself.

Funny, I have never encountered a course called, "Tips' Interpretation of the Constitution." It would seem that the only person who knows why you think Lincoln violated the Constitution would be you, unless you chose to communicate that belief to others. Not surprisingly, you choose not to do so.
Wrong again hoghead, I agree with Tip.
