Great point! Instead of reparations to blacks we'll all be slaves to China.
Slavery ended 150 years ago. If someone wants reparation for something I am not responsible for or benefited from, they have the option of going back to where their ancestors came from and starting over.
Where are YOU from? I'm from Ohio! You are and have benefited in this country by virtue of your racial classification, and any caucasian who denies it is a flat out liar. I'm not saying that no white worked for what they achieved, that's not at all what I've been saying. I'm saying that the SYSTEM of white superiority racism has not gone away because there's Affirmative Action or quotas, I'm saying that the very psyche of MOST not all, but most whites globally have a sense of unearned respect and entitlement, that is indoctrinated into them the moment they watch a TV show, or look through a magazine, look at their neighborhoods and schools, see who's in positions of power and authority, see an image of God and he's caucasian. You get it now? It's a belief that is instilled UNCONSCIOUSLY in their thinking.
That's why so many racists don't know they're racist because their thoughts and actions regarding non- whites are ingrained.

You will find that they regularly denigrate African Americans to an inferior status, and place every white person on a higher supposed superior level. If you can't see that plainly then you are a racist also.
Nowhere in the definition does it say it's a white only condition. If you believe that YOUR race is superior, you are a racist, no matter what "your race" is. If you do not believe that there are blacks who think their race is superior, you are high.

You don't think Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson benefit from their racial classification?

Oh, and by the way, I have black and native American ancestors, as well as white ones. A lot of people do.

Hundreds of yrs. of oppression and suppression imposed on generations of Blacks in this county accounts for the inferiority. As to "the go back" why do you think in part they were chosen in the first place. The Native Americans were considered, but they would have just ran away, so it was more to their advantage to choose people that were unable to return to their home. Black people are here so treat them w/ respect and get off the stereotyping and excuses It is people like you that cause the anger in the black community.

Each individual should get exactly the respect that individual deserves. And most of the time they do.

So how do you classify yourself? You talk like a white man. Two people, Jackson and Sharpton, that have gained some authority to speak out for Blacks and how many people are there for whites?

Human (I refuse to answer the question on government forms). How about you?

Even one disproves your statement. No reason any person couldn't do what these two have done.

Even Bush (the worst President ever) was given respect, but Obama is disrespected all the time. Just the fact that he is "The President" demands respect.

How do Sharpton and Jackson get paid? Who writes them checks? It's not Black people who're supporting their lifestyles!

Nonsensical in the context of "benefiting from their racial classification".

I am white. Married to a white man(Italian decent) 7 yrs, 3 children. Married a black man, 39 yrs and 3 children. I have experienced the differential treatment of my children throughout their childhood and into their adult life. I speak as a mother. It doesn't matter if you don't mark a race on forms, as soon as you make an appearance for an interview, they see the color of your skin. Yes I have posted some radical thoughts because I can go just as far left as those that go to the far right. What is wrong w/ having someone that stands up for Blacks? King was killed and their were many whites that hated him.

Stand up for whomever you want. I support gay marriage myself, for example, but I don't demand that others pay for gays' perceived oppression. All I want to see is live and let live.
King was killed and their were many whites that hated him.
I respect Dr. King far more than the likes of Obama or Nelson Mandela, who both thought one group had to suffer for another to get ahead. Two wrongs never made a right, and punishing someone for something they personally didn't do is wrong.

I did and was the #2 post. I said it then and I'll say it now, you're wrong.

And only when I post political views am I called a racist because your points are proven wrong time and time again leaving no choice by you and your blind followers but to use the race card.

I know and work with many professional blacks that shame people like yourself that don't earn it by education and focus, instead try to get legislated equality.

You, Jackson and Sharpton keep the poor black down by choice. Time to move on, race baitor. You're not getting anywhere here.

It is difficult to stress adequately how revolutionary this idea was: As the historian Eric Foner puts it in his book, Reconstruction: America's Unfinished Revolution, 1863-1877, "Here in coastal South Carolina and Georgia, the prospect beckoned of a transformation of Southern society more radical even than the end of slavery." Try to imagine how profoundly different the history of race relations in the United States would have been had this policy been implemented and enforced; had the former slaves actually had access to the ownership of land, of property; if they had had a chance to be self-sufficient economically, to build, accrue and pass on wealth. After all, one of the principal promises of America was the possibility of average people being able to own land, and all that such ownership entailed. As we know all too well, this promise was not to be realized for the overwhelming majority of the nation's former slaves, who numbered about 3.9 million. What Exactly Was Promised?

We have been taught in school that the source of the policy of "40 acres and a mule" was Union General William T. Sherman's Special Field Order No. 15, issued on Jan. 16, 1865.(That account is half-right: Sherman prescribed the 40 acres in that Order, but not the mule. The mule would come later.) But what many accounts leave out is that this idea for massive land redistribution actually was the result of a discussion that Sherman and Secretary of War Edwin M. Stanton held four days before Sherman issued the Order, with 20 leaders of the black community in Savannah, Ga., where Sherman was headquartered following his famous March to the Sea. The meeting was unprecedented in American history.

Today, we commonly use the phrase "40 acres and a mule," but few of us have read the Order itself. Three of its parts are relevant here. Section one bears repeating in full: "The islands from Charleston, south, the abandoned rice fields along the rivers for thirty miles back from the sea, and the country bordering the St. Johns river, Florida, are reserved and set apart for the settlement of the negroes [sic] now made free by the acts of war and the proclamation of the President of the United States."

Section two specifies that these new communities, moreover, would be governed entirely by black people themselves: " … on the islands, and in the settlements hereafter to be established, no white person whatever, unless military officers and soldiers detailed for duty, will be permitted to reside; and the sole and exclusive management of affairs will be left to the freed people themselves … By the laws of war, and orders of the President of the United States, the negro [sic] is free and must be dealt with as such." http://www.theroot.com/articles/history/2013/...

Yes Tony, I support gay rights. I believe every person should be given the opportunity to be all they can be. As a county, discrimination leaves out so many qualified, intelligent people that could be contributing to our society. We could be so much greater.

You're doing the same thing you accuse whites of. You claim to not want all blacks blamed for what some of them do, but you don't want to extend the same courtesy to whites.

That's called "being a hypocrite".
