Better question would be, why do you ask?

Is someone contemplating anything at all like this?

Or are you just trying to stir up a false controversy?

There you go with the victim card again...never mind that you've asked for everything that's been fired back at you.
Wait what

That's interesting, and helpful.

I think my answer would still be no.

I am assuming that you meant to respond to my response to Glitter rather than the one you did respond to.

I do not under any circumstances consider myself to be a victim of Glitter's nonsense.

That doesn't mean that I don't recognize it, or that others do not.

I'd like to know the reasoning, why questions like this are even entertained? Non-citizens. People that don't pay taxes into our economy. People that have nothing to do with the country or its laws. Yet, some want them to be able to vote. Why in the world would anyone answer yes! Vote for things in your own country. Fix broken laws or outdated living conditions in your own country. Your imput is not needed here. Your views on what we need aren't wanted here. I know the question was asked because Americans are losing their patriotism and any common sense, but we have to reverse this idiotic ideas.

Non-citizens are not immune from paying taxes.

Scanning through the article that was linked apparently this is being considered in New York--for local elections only, and is already in place in a few locales. In New York their rationale has to do with the number of legal immigrant residents. Again, my tendancy is to disagree.

But consider whether this is any more outrageous than the suburban residents who believe that they should be granted a vote on Columbus' local issues based on their having to pay taxes on incomed earned in the city.
