Spook, it's the Hilltop. Does that explain anything?

I'd guess anywhere from a 22 to 45 caliber sized injury.

Channel 4 says "blunt trauma to the head." Ball bat, club, 2x4, large branch, rock, brick, hammer, toaster oven, frozen salmon... the list is endless.

Do you remember when "going to the Hilltop" meant being committed to the Columbus State Hospital for the Insane?

I figured that but since they identified so quickly the method and tool uswd would be in the news release as well.

Can't say I do. I've only lived in this area about 5-6 years.

Was--that must be the operative thought. When driving through the Hilltop, one gets a sense of dread.

That was back in the good old days when the Hilltop was still nice.

Nope, the Hilltop has been a war zone since Camp Chase opened its first flap.

Monty Chase talked about the history of Camp Chase, which was named for his ancestor, Salmon P. Chase. It was used during the Civil War as a Union training ground and a Confederate prison camp. Starting in 1895 the deteriorated cemetery began to be restored by former Union Colonel William H. Knauss and an annual commemoration ceremony was begun which continues to be held by the Hilltop Historical Society.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2012 LCV Cities Tour” in Columbus, Ohio, on July 9-12 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Time Warner Cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on BookTV on C-SPAN2.

And Month Chase works for Heartland Bank, not the one named after his ancestor.

Well, that has ended. I don't want people to think you're smarter or funnier than you really are.

The hilltop was a fine section during the first two decades of the 20th century. It was still a nice place to live and visit in the forties and fifties, 19 not 18. In the 60s the folks started moving out beyond Hague Avenue, some towards West Jefferson and a few into Champaign County. I can't tell you how it is now as I aint been there in 30 years but according to your posts I aint missing anything.
sincerely,
dunadd
