Registration leads to confiscation.
Really?

Registration enables a few other things, such as being able to track guns involved in crimes back to their original sources--necessary to close down illegal sales.

Also might be helpful in ensuring that some of the folks legally banned from possession (convicted felons, those adjudicated as being mentally ill, people with protection orders against them) are on the radar to lose their weapons.

But then, if fewer bad guys have guns, then maybe fewer good guys will feel a need to buy them.

Hmmmm. I wonder who might be opposed to that scenario?

Perhaps your post should be addressed to Eric Holder and Reggie Love's girlfriend who find running guns across the border to be such good sport.

Canada repealed registration, all it does is waste money.

Your Marxist class struggle ideas won't fly here.

Not to mention that registration would be hit with massive noncompliance, and could even make me into a terrorist.

This country doesn't punish terrorists. Bill Ayers is walking around free. And Major Hasan isn't wheeling around a cell.

'Course Osama bin Laden didn't do so well.

And at the other end of the spectrum there's Assata Shakur.

That can't be true. George said we don't punish terrorists. One of you must not be telling the truth.

Want an educated guess? He's been buried under 100 million cubic feet of rock at Tora Bora for a decade. It doesn't take any sort of inside info to see that possibility has been high on the list for years.
But thanks again for proving you know nothing about how defense contracting works.
