The first major piece the PD in Cleveland did about Kasich once elected, was attacking him for not hiring any blacks in his Cabinet.
While Kasich has been a marginal disappointment, the media has certainly tried to boost up his critics, but the Democrats in this state except for Brown are not good campaigners.
The PD was very good at going after Josh Mandel, though he ran a lousy campaign.
You know, I totally agree on all points. Mandel ran a wimpy, lame campaign.kasich is trying to please all which in time will come back and bite him in the arse? Brown...strong!
I think Fitzgerald is hedging to run for governor against Kasich.
That will be very interesting......

Most primary voters are not highly informed, perhaps about 50-50 LIV/HIV
Median voters are more influenced by media spin
It is good to see that you acknowledge that most GOP voters are not highly informed.

Kasich is almost certain to win by a sizeable, though not landslide, margin. Barring a scandal involving sex, drugs, murder, etc.(Though Brown got away with that in the 80s)

If Fitz and Portune from Cincy face off in a primary, I think Fitz loses, and I will probably vote in the D primary if said matchup happens.

Kasich did do some good things for all the people.
I don't think Fitz is a strong or an aggressive enough person to hold from the rigorous, amd brutal political scene of today.
Right now he's small potatoes...who knows! Depends what scandles are uncovered...LOL
Well have to keep our eyes glued to that race!

Cuyahoga politics isn't likely on anyone's radar down here, but Fitz was a small fry up there until the Dimora-Russo scandal.

Fitz for a time worked for former Prosecutor Bill Mason, who was almost certainly an unindicted co-conspirator with Dimora and Russo. He took orders and played dumb.

After the Commissioners were abolished in 2009, which Fitz opposed, he ran for the Executive position in 2010.

I don't know much about Portune from Cincinnati other than that he's been elected four times Commissioner, and is an Oberlin grad. The latter does make me shiver.

Yet we had Eric Kearney pegged while you people had never even heard the name.
Face it...you have a candidate who's about as likely to win as Rob Burch (another guy you've never heard of.)

Mason resigned before he got indicted. That whole thing was fishy from the get go.
(I know Russo and significant other). They both got what they deserved.
Enough said.
Well have to research Portune.

To be fair, Duke has said for some time that he expects Kasich to win.

It's telling that PO14 doesn't have a new running mate

If Portune announces a running mate first, Fitz is done

I'm arguably more interested in the Boehner primary challenge than the state elections, which are primed for a GOP sweep.

It is uncanny how much you know about what other people know.

Reality Speaks says he knows what time I get up in the morning but he will not say what that time is.

If that is the sort of classified information that your alleged security clearance allows you then someone is playing a big joke on you.

Tim Hagan and Peter Lawson Jones got away

Not to mention current State Senator Tom Patton (R)
