Dispatch Follies Today

In the "Too Good To Pass Up" Dept. today at the Columbus Dispatch we have:

1. Metro&State section banner headline "School report rejected" and details of a divided CPS board. Juxtaposed beautifully to the top right of that headline is the letter "f" with a nice blue box around it. Must have been a good place to plug Facebook but the subliminal message is delightful.

2. "Bachmann flubs again" -- headline written by the latte-fetching Dispatch intern perhaps? It's perfectly normal to celebrate birthdays of dead people -- they are referred to as "observances" or even "commemorations". How retarded are you people to publish such a ridiculous article from the LA Times?

3. "Ex-Marine to get Medal of Honor" -- copy editors get special feelings when they can compose a headline with "Ex-Marine" in it. Marines take offense to the term "Ex-Marine" and liberal newspaper people know this all too well.

Maybe you should read the article again. Although it is perfectly normal to celebrate birthdays of dead people -- It wasn't his birthday, it was the anniversary of his death. So basically Bachmann didn't know what she was celebrating.

No mistaking the color scheme of my two new Canadian-built campaign buses: black and red are color schemes of marxistcommies. And even I won't take them into the inner cities.

You know, I'm sure they think we're just ranting but you are correct. I am not going to the Dispatch as much as I used to.Ben would be smart to listen to my brilliant idea of running two parallel boards: one on Topix, and a separate one on their boards.

From what I've seen, their boards have been a big flop. Ted Williams video redux.

There is now a feed of dispatch stories via roboblogger that can be commented on here on Topix and the dispatch but are totally separate. Kind of hit and miss as far as what is picked up and displayed here.

Nice front page pic today by Eric Albrecht. He makes little kids pictures all day and assignment editor boy put him in a room of republicans he lashes out and makes Kasich look like a loon. Eric you are not blind. You are biased however. Go back to kiddy pics and chasing dogs in the parks.

Ahh..pages 2 and 3. Photo of Rick Perry tonguing the inside of his cheek. Photo editor at Dispatch: "Ha ha ha. That idiot Perry looks stupid. Let's go with that one. Harr harr harr -- check out the guy next to him with big coffee cup obscuring the bottom half of his face and making his eyes all bugged out!!"

But wait there's more. Gordon Gee mugs it up for Toledo Blade cameras for his foot--out-of-mouth extrication from Sisters opf the Poor boner comment. Oops is that the same Toledo Blade that sued Ohio State about 15 years ago for full disclosure of what were once thought to be "private" records. Funny how strange bedfellows end up using each other.
