For 2016, Democrats hunt for a convention city

Feb 25, 2014 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: CNN

As many as three dozen mayors from Atlanta to Sacramento received a letter earlier this month inquiring whether their cities were interested in hosting the 2016 Democratic National Convention.

I have personally seen an explosion of unmarried mothers with multiple kids living with their partner who qualify as "single" parents. By one admission, along with the boyfriend's income they were "making good money" and drove a brand new car. Take away those payments and we might get somewhere.
If true, that would be fraudulent.

If it upsets you so, call the county and turn them in.

No, I am proving that you make assertions that you cannot support.

There is absolutely no reason why this Nation cannot afford to feed hungry people residing within its borders.

Hunger is not the issue.
Every human experiences hunger daily.
But you knew that, liberal.

The issue is the personal responsibility of able-bodied citizens.
None of whom should be on the public dole longer than six months.

see post 9 above from me.

Obama made the both super secret double manufacturing hubs today.

anyone want to bet those hubs are union jobs, and now that Michigan is right to work, Obama's new hub will over ride state law.

This comedy just continues to get more frighting by the day.

Yeah, do the twist, dupe. It's all you trolls do when you have no knowledge, facts or argument to support you small minds.

1. I NEVER said no farmer's ever accepted food stamps, or low interest loans. So you begin your lie three words into the above post.

2. You have personally never known or watched a farmer plow, disc, plant, fertilize, apply insect protection to acres, check on his land daily, count on his crop for market and to feed his livestock over the winter, repay his loans, support his family, and then lost it all, whether it be 10 acres or 10,000, overnight in a flood, or drought or some other act of nature. I believe in crop subsidies. At least farmers work. And a lot damn harder than you.

I'm sure there is some fraud in that system, as everywhere else, but NOTHING on the scale of the entitlements we hand out.

In Colorado EBT cards can now be used to purchase pot. Just wait until that's nationwide. Of course druggies are a lot easier to control than thinking taxpayers.

I'm from the "Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for life" school also.

Yes, folks fall into circumstances where they need financial help. Living for years on the dole......you breed a nation of sluggards with no respect for themselves, let alone anyone else.

Your post #56: If you don't see $65 BILLION in one small entitlement as a problem, you have the same short sighted vision as all libs. Millions add up to billions which add up to trillions.

#57: You live in an agricultural state and reigon. Probably in a condo or development. So how much do you know about farming and the attached risks and costs? You don't.

#58: Yes! Of course I would rather see entitlements go to those who work and plan to get off of it rather than the 'rat life dwellers', that from generation to generation, live on entitlements and never plan to work or give back to society. Duh, isn't that a no brainer?

Well, I have to work and pay some taxes now. I'd like to have more say over how my money is spent. Any thinking person would.

DENVER ó Saying some neighborhoods have more pot shops than banks, Colorado Democrats on Wednesday rejected a proposal to ban the use of public assistance cards to obtain cash at marijuana-shop ATMs.
The Senate State, Veterans and Military Affairs Committee voted 3-2 along party lines against a GOP proposal to add marijuana shops to the list of places where recipients of public assistance canít use their government-issued EBT cards to access cash.
The list already includes casinos, liquor stores and gun shops.

I'll give myself one Pinochle on that. However all you have said above is true. Dems blocked a measure to outlaw use of EBT's at ATM's in marjuana stores. The use of EBT cards at ATM's in 'pot shops' has been present since pot became legalized in CO. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

Basing the law on 'there are more pot shops that banks' is just lame. Are we also to conclude these people cannot get to a grocery or drug store?

The worth of a Farm on the market is determined by how much in Farm Bill subsidies the Farm qualifies to receive.

You are either ill informed or a moron. Sale value of farm land has nothing to do with what agricultural subsidies that owner may receive.
Do you really think a developer cares when he plans to build 4000 sq ft McMansions on a 1/3rd of an acre and sell them to unqualified buyers who can't furnish them or pay the utilities what subsities that farmer may have received?
My parents nor I have ever received a subsity on this farm land, but is enviormentally friendly unlike many locations.

For those who choose to habitate rurally? Really? If the farmer doesn't work, you don't eat, fool. NIMBY.

Rather than acknowledge the money quote - that Big Insurance, who spent a lot of lobbying money (thought Obama was going to end that?) is the ONLY beneficiary at the expense of the little people, you take the opportunity to slam another poster who you don't like. That kind of says it all about you. Your intent is not to learn - your intent is to put down others.

Actually, it will be interesting to see what the IRS covers on families now that they have license to investigate all of our finances along with our health insurance which have to be reported by law. I wonder if an unintended consequence will be taking away other benefits which were never really earned in the first place.

Nothing wrong with teaching kids how to live on a tight budget. It could come in handy as adults.
