My daughter has five beehives which produce the best tasting honey ever. Better than store bought.

UnPasteurized honey of one type is better than the blended stuff from the store. Like single malt Scotch

Are they beagles? Beagles like to run and chase crittes they probably just want attention. A skunk will shut them up.
No....just mixed breeds....
You would think after all the years seeing me they wouldn't bark at me. Now the lab next door doesn't bark at me....he's very sweet but his owners leave him outside and he barks to go in by the door and it could be an hour and the poor thing is barking to go in...
Some people shouldn't have pets if they aren't responsible owners, and considerate of neighbors.....

Depending on the season, the honey goes from light color to medium then darker in the fall.
Nature is wonderful.

None at.the compound yet. How are the skunks in your area? My skunk should have lots of kids based on his trips out this year. Good thing he doesn't have to pay child support.
Skunks have been making themselves scarce since mating season. They blew this place up in February!

Bees and ants will take over a feeder if they get a chance. Not much you can do about the bees, but you can make an "ant dam" to keep them out.Downy woodpeckers love hummingbird nectar too!

I do get a few ants once in a while. I have a pic of a pileated woodpecker in my daughters yard hanging onto the feeder. It's a riot because he's so much heavier than the feeder and it's tipped and he's swaying in the breeze. It's so cute.

Yes...depending on the seasonal flowers.
She's a bee keeper and also has chickens and the coup looks like a house...it is so cute.
Her garden is huge and she cans everything.
I don't know how she is going to do all this now....she's a paramedic and works crazy hours.

That is a big woodpecker.

I solved the ant oroblem by hanging the feeder from a piano wire tied to another piano wire run horizontally. They can't seem to make it out far enough on the first wire.

That's clever! I hang mine from the beam of patio roof..I have to climb a small ladder to change it.

no hummingbirds yet, but did have a visit from an eagle yesterday.

the crows were all over it and it landed in a hemlock in backyard.

the eagles usually stay along the river, but last week one was in tree at local McDonalds also.

yes a Bald Eagle.

The Olentangy river has eagles, and eagle cam for nests.

They normally stay very close to river to fish, but occasionally move up the bank a few hundred yards.

We also have falcons, and coopers hawks.

Very cool to watch.

A regular coopers hawk visits often. It needs to learn squirrel is good to eat.

You must be close to the river. I used to have the Chagrin river running through my property...

Beany hisses in her pit! LOLOLOL
I have pipe cleaners and make coils of them and she chases after them....at night she sings and thinks they're babies, and drops them at my feet or where I'm sitting.
