It's time to form D.A.M.M. Drunks Against Mad Mothers and fight back.

I'll all for keeping those under the influence of anything from driving but I agree, this is a Soviet tactic.

Vehicle registration fees need to include an additional flat $500 road usage fee to help defray costs of check points. We need more check points 24/7 not just at night to help catch the drunks and druggies. Don't advertise checkpoints in advance and they need to be placed at randomly selected locations including interstates.

That's how they did things in the former USSR. The exact opposite of liberty.

I am not a drunk. MAD is a group that would like to see a return to prohibition which was not good. As for drunk driving high on drugs and driving until they fail to maintain proper lane or maintain full posted speed limit I fail to see thead need to pull anyone over to test them.
You say that until you or someone you know is killed by a drunk driver. People never say I'm too drunk to drive. It takes someone getting pulled over to get it in their head to not drink and drive.

Drinkers need to unite against the travesty that takes place daily. There are no cab services to call and if there are they want to charge you $50. Now granted that is much less than all the B.S. IF you get caught but that is a big IF. The police are NOT against DUI, they are against you getting away with it. It is a big ticket item for them. They make a chit load of cash from it. Its all about the money. If that were not true, all that cash they rake in would be put into a safe ride program. But do you see that? No. Why do you think the legal levels are so low?(.08) Because the Feds told the states to put it at that level or they would get no federal highway assistance.(money) It is always about the money, not safety. Again you know thats true because they give people DUI's that are on a lawn mower, a bicycle, a horse, etc.

I'm betting you'd cry like a baby every year when you had to pay that additional $500 fee.

Oh and to MAD mothers who claim these check points save.lives I call bullshit. Not one of those arrested were because they were spotted breaking other traffic laws but because of a Soviet style check point.

Yes you are right about it being pay by taxpayers, or better yet, if you are one of them. For example, Al Handen, from Marion, sheriff, had a gun laying on the seat of his car, had a beer two hours early before going to bed, check it out on Ytube, channel Six News, that is if you are one of them. Where was MADD then.

Thats right but you can still get a DUI for it. That is how you know it is all about the money and not all about safety as they claim.

Seriously, I know a guy who lost his license after several DUI's. He lived about two miles from a bar and guess what? That's right, he was pulled over for DUI while driving a riding mower home from the bar.

No I have a well stocked liquor vault. Besides my cat is often better drinking company than one could find in some nars. I just hate gestapo tactics preformed on ameeican citizens while those same worthless nut sack lickers claim it is about safety all the while doing nothing about tbe invading typhoid carrying trash.
Spot on.
Control is the issue. New laws are cooked up every single day to ensure that at some point in time, we are all lawbreakers, either knowingly or not.

I heard on the radio this morning that drunk driver's kill 300 people per week in this country (or something like that). You don't think that possibly the decision to set up these checkpoints had something to do with curtailing those numbers?

Also, while they did only catch 4 people, the primary purpose of these checkpoints is prevention.

They publish when and where they are going to have checkpoints. People just take a different route; even if I'm stone cold sober, I'm avoiding the checkpoint.
