The majority of Us the Government of this Representative Republic that vote and the nonvoters that sit on their dead hands and whine; reelected Obnoxious President, Governor, Representatives of US the Government, County Commissioners, Township Trustees, Mayors, City Council, School Administrators and Board Members.
That holds Union workers, consumers, taxpayers, and America’s grandchildren’s children, Government employees, Parents, Teachers, Veterans, Police, Firemen, and Fathers disqualified for affirmative action with white skin, Representatives deny Collective Bargaining Rights accountable.
To fund free tax filing for Illegal drug users and Immigrants, lottery, casino, and keno losers, unemployed Union workers replaced with nonunion workers, Human Traffickers, waitresses that pander for life for $2.00 per hour, slaves in tax abated enterprise zones, low-income child labor, consumers, and taxpayers, volunteers without wages, and nonunion workers willing to work for fewer wages than they can afford life. That pays with welfare checks, food stamps, housing vouchers, and Medicaid.
With money derived from wages (union contract), investment and independent business profit.

I get the drift of what you're saying, and agree with some, but could you be more clear?
Also, I am not a fan, to say the least, of the Earned Income Credit, but kind of don't understand why your thread is titled that way.

The same post is on four or five threads. I hope it is so rambling because alcohol was involved.

I am a large farmer, environmentalist and generally vote Democratic.
I support things like universal healthcare and Headstart. If we can help working families, it helps business. My business depends on healthy employees with healthy families.
Having said that......
Here's a program that has become a massive problem on my farm.
One or two employees like to smoke a little weed and drink a little Tequila on the weekends. They are talented employees but not always reliable about getting to work - especially on Mondays.
Now some genius in the government has decided that it somehow helps families who can't manage money and are recreational drug users. Oh, let's give Adam $5,000 in one lump sum so he will no longer be in poverty(?). B.S.
Reality: What happens every spring is that Adam gets this money, buys 10 times more weed than he normally would have, and then does not show up for work for 6 weeks.
Giving low income families a lump sum of money does NOTHING to help families but it often does wonders for lottery tickets, tequila and weed.
Now for the rest of the story..... while he is off work spending the earned income credit..... he is not earning a paycheck and not paying taxes. So, at the end of the year, there is zero gain in his annual income.
The earned income tax credit causes Adam to work LESS and earn LESS!
Might as well sign me up for spring break as well - I can't get anything done until my party boy employees get this money spent.
