Hookahs in both chambers three or four times a month, filled with an unending supply of killer weed.

Maybe they'd finally dream up some legislation that actually works, and become more amenable to compromise.

More likely they'd do nothing at all, not the worst thing possible.

After one of obama's co-sh^tstains in the house thought Guam would tip over, basic IQ thresholds for stains would clear out a lot of the parasite trash.

Hurry up and secede so you can implement your stupid ideas in your own stupid country.

Include alcohol in the drugs tested, everybody but some Mormons will be kicked out.

As stated before, not the worst thing possible.

Sure. Why not? I can be randomly drug tested. If my day to day activities and work are important enough that I have to prove that I'm not derelict, why not some pompous idiot on the Hill? I work for the military, I'm told that tax payers support me. So, as a tax payer, aren't I supporting those on Capitol Hill? Oh wait, they probably wouldn't pass, would they? Ted Kennedy wasn't sober...

An LDS Senator from Idaho was busted on DUI a few months ago.

Was disappointed when he didn't resign, but Craig set the legacy.

There are Baptists denominations that teach against alcohol as well.

Alcohol is part of our random drug tests. Quite a few have been busted coming in at 7:30 or 8:00, especially on Fridays.
They have to go through a program and can't come back until they've been signed off on it...a minimum of two weeks with no pay unless they use their own PTO.
Second offense is termination.

That seems to be pretty standard policy. We have same. Testing can be done with or without cause, too.

A lot of Congress would be booted if we applied the same standards.

Not to mention the fact that they have no idea about the rate of false positives produced by initial urine screens.

Management suspicion alone should have you peeing in a cup at least once every 15 minutes.

Civil liberties? We need to worry about those for our politicians, who have passed the laws requiring federal workers should pee in cups? Personally, I have no problem with it. Research what goes behind any federal worker or defense contractor obtaining a CAC and their employment conditions that go along with the various security levels. It's public knowledge.

Here's a start: http://www.opm.gov/Forms/pdf_fill/SF86.pdf

This is the information everyone applying for a security clearance job provides, it's directly from the US Office of Personnel Management. Intrusive much? But elected politicians at the federal level--are they required to go through background checks?
