You cannot make that statement as a truism. Morality can be influenced by economics. Lots of people do things they might never have done otherwise if they're backed into a corner and have no other choice. People become desperate when they have nothing, and having nothing to lose can have a huge impact on their decision making and actions.
Lame leftist excuses for poor, personal choices.

Female, court-appointed GALS in divorce cases are notoriously biased.
I've witnessed too many friends and colleagues lose custodial rights and be forced to pay what I consider to be enormous monthly support to cheating, lying ex-wives.

And I'm not claiming that cheating, lying ex-husbands do not exist.
I am merely stating the obvious fact that women, particularly mothers, have been given the upper hand in divorce cases...regardless of their role in the divorce.

<quoted text>What a sad attempt at spin. My son has a father, a mother and a step-mother who all work, all own a home, who are all there for him no matter what and who have been involved in every part of his life for every day of his 17 years. My ex lives 15 minutes away and my son is over there four or five days a week even if just to stop in for 20 minutes in the evening. There's no comparison to the life of a black kid in the inner city.
I didn't want, file or demand a divorce. She did, and in America, that's all it takes. My pastor stood by me all the way as I went thru my annulment. Spencer Tracy was a sleazy adulterer...he bailed on his family because he was a dirt bag.
You really are a dumb as a bag of hammers.
What are you talking about, there are plenty of baby daddies in the inner city. Who do you think the thugs who sell drugs and rob are. Spending their money on?

My pleasure to be of assistance to clear up what everyone already knew.
Children living in affluent communities learn behavior of watching parents go to work everyday to earn money to live they way they do, and also participate in luxury parents income provides. Learned behavior that work equals pay. Education leads to higher pay, and ambition leads to higher pay.
Then as the children age and have their own wants that need satisfied, they work to pay for them, and have no spare time for gangs.
What the inner city has is products of problem parents, and replication of the problem.
Education solves many of these problems, but 1/2 drop out. So rewarding failure with a meek existence in a rat hole produces children fighting to live in a rat hole.
I hope you enjoyed spoken reality.
You're 3/4 incorrect about teens and gangs. In California when the Crip and Blood gangs formed, more than half of the teens who joined those gangs came from two hard working parent households. I'm talking about the early 70's when the Crips began.
The problem was other teens who never thought about being in a gang were forced to join by getting their asses kicked and being robbed by the hard neck gangsters in the neighborhood and school.

Also, a murder of a family member by a gangster from a different neighborhood caused many youngsters to join out of revenge. It got out of hand. Poverty had little or nothing to do with it back then because the parents were in the homes and working.

Three teens accused of murder of baseball player Chris Lane identified
The images of three youths police say murdered Melbourne baseballer Christopher Lane have emerged.
The Oklahoma teens who face first-degree murder charges have been named as Chancey Luna, James Edwards and Michael Jones.
But their parents yesterday protested their innocence.
Jennifer Luna, whose son is suspected of firing the fatal shot, claimed her son was at home saying: "My son is not that way. My son is a good kid."
Christopher Lane, 22, was randomly gunned down while jogging through the town of Duncan in Oklahoma on Friday afternoon local time.
Meanwhile, Lane's American girlfriend today revealed her heartbreak at losing her "best friend", and parents of the accused protested their innocence.
Sarah Harper, 23, also told the Herald Sun that she didn't know what punishment would be appropriate of the three teenagers, aged 15, 16 and 17 years, accused of Lane's murder.
It comes as Duncan Police Chief Danny Ford said he had secured the confession of the 17-year-old who summoned investigators to his jail cell and claimed he and the younger boys were bored "so they decided to kill somebody".
"He said he was the driver of the car," Chief Ford said.
"They saw Christopher jog by the house they were at, they chose him to be the target, they got in the car, drove up behind him and shot him in the back.
"He said the 16-year-old fired the shot."
The three teenagers are being held in the Stephens County Jail in Duncan.
The trio were due to appear in a local court over the shooting at 1.30pm Monday (4.30am Tuesday AEST), but it has been pushed back a day.
A spokesperson for District Attorney Jason Hicks said the charges were still being reviewed.
Lane, who grew up in Oak Park in Melbourne's north, had only been back in the US for three days after an eight-week break in Australia with Ms Harper.
Two of the accused teens' parents insist they were not involved in the killing.
"That's my baby boy," said the mother of the 16-year-old accused of firing the single bullet from a handgun into the back of Mr Lane.
She doesn't believe her son was involved in the shooting, saying today he was not a member of a gang and definitely not the one who pulled the trigger.
The father of the 15-year-old accused of being in the car admitted his son had been in some previous "kid stuff" trouble with the law, but described him as a good boy who also was not part of a gang.
"I don't think so," the father replied when asked if his son could have been part of the murder.
Lane had been in the US on a baseball sports scholarship with East Central University (ECU) as the team's catcher.
He was jogging through an area of "high dollar homes" after leaving Ms Harper's home, when he was followed and shot.
Witnesses saw him stumble across the road and then go down on his knees before struggling to a drainage area at the side of the road.
A woman who came from a nearby house tried CPR while another woman who was in a car stopped and called 911.

Child support is predominantly determined through a statutory schedule that contains no consideration of fault or any influence by GALs.

...This may or may not be a racially motivated killing, but that misses the point, chiefly that it was 3 Black kids killing a white man, and the media, Democrats, the Usual Race Hustlers, Mr. Obama, are mostly ignoring the killing, unlike with the Trayvon Martin-George Zimmerman affair, which was immediately elevated from a “local story” to a national conversation on race, despite it not being racial....

Yes. Usually, it is an angry person who had a negative interaction with one member of a large group who then attributes that singular interaction to each member of that large group, with no regard whether the negative interaction was an aberration.

My brief history lesson about the parents of the teens who joined gangs countered your assumption that teens in urban households belonging to gangs have lazy, unemployed parent(s) who don't care about their kids.
And living in Columbus is no exception to the rule. Not my fault because you failed the connection.

Feral blacks does it again, huh? Well, since we know that the' crew' were not just black teens this attempt at a racial jab is not jiving with the facts of the case. It's no different than the three thugs who shot the Indian man working the BP in Dublin. Two are white and one is black.

Rev. Al had this to say:
Civil rights leader Rev. Al Sharpton said the Oklahoma murder of Australian student athlete Chris Lane was not racial and "the system worked."

Some have called on Sharpton to protest Lane's shooting, comparing the case to to Trayvon Martin's death. But Sharpton told viewers that police said there was no racial motive to the killing and it was a random act. Three teenagers, two of whom are black and one white, are accused in the shooting.

"I protest when I'm called in and when there's an injustice," Sharpton said in response to a question in the Reply Al segment of his show, "PoliticsNation," on MSNBC on Thursday. "The three were arrested, there was nothing to protest. The system worked there, and racial? Not only did the police not say it was racial, one of the three were white."

you countered nothing.

My neighbors kids are fact to what I said.

In fact my black neighbors kids are not as lazy as the privileged white kids. I would say the blacks work twice as hard, so as not to be aligned with others. They stand out with their accomplishments. they work hard, and will be successful all through life. Their parents and neighbors set good examples for them to follow, and how success delivers happiness.

Whaaaat!!! Hey now will be doing repeated back flips like a chimp when he reads your post! He's never, ever, heard of a black person working harder than a white, hell...according to him blacks are all lazy, shiftless groids who want to steal the profits from hard working whiiite people, and loot and get high. He'll be in a state of shock for sure.

It's not a sad attempt at anything, it's just stating the truth. You can't have a holier-than-thou attitude against people for not fitting the perceived perfect family model when your family doesn't meet that criteria anyway. I didn't read anything after your first statement because I'm sure it's just full of excuses. That's typical of you.
