Now, when it comes down to practicalities and some of the demands made by the anti-sex folks (eliminating books from the library or classroom, pretending that gay people don't exist and the like), the reality may be that you don't get to control the whole school and the curriculum. And this makes some folks unhappy.
I did not want to control the school. I want to stop controlling my kids!

As you saw in my previous link, you are totally wrong, embarrassingly wrong and stupidly wrong!

The Supreme Court already said parents have no jurisdiction over their own kids while at school!

<quoted text>Impossible to have rules (even based on "common sense") that nobody ever talks about.

You are free to try to teach your kids a good many things, including that the earth is flat and that the moon is made of green cheese. But don't expect to be able to make the public schools teach the same thing. When schools teach science and health (which are pretty much the two subjects where human sexuality comes up), they have to reject mythology--even if it is preferred by a preponderance of local parents--and still to the facts as agreed to be the scientific/medical experts.

Like I said, most districts will allow some kind of "opt-out" for parents who prefer that their children NOT be taught these things. But, don't expect them to shelter your kids from realities (such as the reality that gay people exist, some of them are parents, some may be teachers, and as your children grow older, they will come to know that some of them are also students in their classes). And further, if your home-teaching leads your kids into some of the predicatbly ignorant behaviors regarding these folks (name-calling, slamming into lockers, social ostracization and so forth), don't expect them to be excused because of some religious belief.

Get your pervert hands off my kid! Sex with animals, inanimate objects and people of same gender is abnormal, unnatural and sick!

<quoted text>Again--love to see an example of someone teaching this.

BTW--I don't think this is so much the reality anymore, but years ago it sometimes happened that if lesbians were arrested for any reason (traffic infraction, whatever), they had to be wary of cops who believed that lesbians just needed an experience with the right man, to turn around. As a result, there were lesbians raped by cops in order to fix them.
Which is wrong!

Just because a man hates a lesbian does not make the lesbian right!

See? Liberals always looking for victims to push their agenda, SICK!

I'm not entirely sure that this is going to be easy but wish you the best of luck. Do keep us in the loop. I imagine you're already looking for a lawyer or firm able to meet the needs of this rather unique case. Let us know when you've met with some of them. Dying to know what wonders a professional can do with your rather interesting word salad of ideas.

Also, when you say precedence, I assume you mean precedent?

I actually have no idea what you're talking about with those cases, could you link to some of them and I'll be more than happy to offer my informed opinion. It's a bit difficult to work out who is involved in the suits you've listed, let alone any of the other searchable metrics.

So far as your question, "If so, why did he LOST all of them?", I would hope most sincerely that if this is an example of the type of written material that you routinely produce that you're not hoping to impact the academic curriculum at local schools, as well.

Not if the education is coming from liberals who do not understand that procreation is essential for a health society. Did not God say in Genesis, "be fruitful and multiply?" Liberals do not believe this and therefore need to be kept away from children.

If you are ignorant is because you are a Liberal who only watches MSNBC!
Most parents of public school students probably assume they have certain rights, even if those rights are not always honored. They may not realize that the courts have addressed this issue a number of times and have concluded that once parents deliver their children to the front door of a public school, the parents and the children both forfeit many rights they'd normally have.
Consider this excerpt from the Nov. 2, 2005 opinion of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals (and note that it confirms the opinion of another court). The Ninth Circuit case was specifically addressing interviews conducted with children in a California school in which first, third, and fifth graders were asked explicit sexual questions as well as other disturbing and intrusive questions. The parents who sued lost their case.
Excerpt:[O]nce parents make the choice as to which school their children will attend,...their fundamental right to control the education of their children is, at the least, substantially diminished. The constitution does not vest parents with the authority to interfere with a public school's decision as to how it will provide information to its students or what information it will provide, in its classrooms or otherwise. See Yoder, 406 U.S. at 205. Perhaps the Sixth Circuit said it best when it explained,
While parents may have a fundamental right to decide whether to send their child to a public school, they do not have a fundamental right generally to direct how a public school teaches their child. Whether it is the school curriculum, the hours of the school day, school discipline, the timing and content of examinations, the individuals hired to teach at the school, the extracurricular activities offered at the school or, as here, a dress code, these issues of public education are generally "committed to the control of state and local authorities".Âť

BTW--I don't see that this grants to schools or teachers any right to kill students.

If someone has their pervert hands on your child in a school, not only do YOU as a parent have legal resource, but just about any other adult in the building (possible exceptons for janitors and the like) who knows or even suspects this to be the case is legally obligated to report immediately to the police or children's services.

And again--if you have examples of schools advocating sexual relationships with inanimate objects or animals, I would love to see them. Looks to me like you have go far beyond the scope of this particular curriculum which focuses on families and good and bad touching.

Your beef is that you want an exclusive description of families that does not match with reality--whether that reality is the one matching your ideal or not.

You're a bit nutty I'd say.

I know what my son is being taught. I can walk into his school any day at any time and see what is going on. I'm very pleased with the education that the local school district is providing him, and I'm well aware of my parental rights, as I work in that field daily, in the juvenile court system. If I weren't pleased, its my right to provide for his education elsewhere.

Crazy people.

By the way...you seem to have have no clue what the meaning of the word "standing" is. It is not a term of art.

Oddly enough, none of that BS here and yet...

Hilliard Schools – Earns Highest Scores in Ohio
District provides good value to taxpayers and high quality education for students

Hilliard City Schools’ students are ranked number one for academic growth and among the top 11 percent for academic achievement of all school districts in Ohio. The rankings are part of a new state law related to the Ohio Department of Education’s (ODE) Local Report Cards (LRC) and includes not only every public school district in the state, but also every community and STEM school as well. The academic growth is measured through the Value-Added (VA) component of the LRC and academic achievement relates to the Performance Index (PI) calculation
http://www.hilliardschools.org/

In addition, our preliminary ranking of “Excellent with Distinction” is now official. Hilliard City Schools has earned this top rating for five consecutive years. Only 15 school districts in Ohio have achieved this accomplishment, including only four in Franklin County. Hilliard City Schools has the lowest cost per pupil of these four districts and this speaks to the good value we are providing residents.
