If anybody wants to complain, or suggest they continue to feed stories to Topix, here is where to do so:

Yeah. But there's still no reason not to continue feeding stories to these boards. People can continue to argue here while they would be hidden from Dispatch's thin-skinned readership.

Marrison is doing it out of spite. Didn't you notice he took the criticism of his own column incredibly personally? That's when he declared a posting policy was going to be implemented.

Samples of the scintilating and insightful comments now appearing at the end of Dispatch stories:

1. Jared Rutecki (deraj1013)

Blah blah blah. Flapping my gums. Partisan circular reasoning rules!

2. aaron witt (liltitus27)

yucky.

3. Brian Higgins (cmhcow)

See. If these Statehouse Republicans would have supported passenger rail, maybe there wouldn't be so many DUIs!

4. aaron witt (awitt)

This is interesting news.

5. Peggy Sorensen

Really sad.

6. Dan Lee (Howie)

Hope he is okay.

On the other hand, no mention of knuckle-draggers, yard apes and the like. George and Bob, you may not be the worst posters, but you two are certainly among the most persistent abusers of content rules, each of you having been banned multiple times.

I am not real happy with the current state of affairs either--for one thing their registration process doesn't seem to work very well. It is supposed to be (I think) the same registration as they used for the Dispatch blogs--but mine won't transfer, and because my email already has a registration, it won't allow me to create a new one. However, I have also been upset that the ability to post uncivil stuff before a wide audience has attracted some real knuckleheads at times. Basically, if you cannot monitor your own mouth, don't expect to be welcome to speak anywhere that you want.

The Dispatch doesn't want anything negative attached to it, pure and simple. Sometimes topix bloggers get out of hand.

And again, that shouldn't stop them from continuing to feed stories to this board. They don't have to like them, but they can still feed them here. Keeps us happy. But the lame people who make insightful comments like "yucky" will never be happy.

Another reason to cancel our hard copy of the dispatch. It went up $17 for 10 weeks.

I'm sure they'll consider the threats on these boards to no longer patronize the Dispatch to be empty ones. But in my case, it's true. I tend to come here first and click the story only if it interests me. The Dispatch website was and is a jumble of links whereas Topix gives you a better perspective of which stories are the most interesting.

Precisely the reason for no one to bother joining or posting there.
The dispatch folks clearly want to 'moderate' any dissention out of existence.
Its a liberal rag shit paper that couldnt put out an objective article if it tried.

The dispatch maggots have been flying around my door and calling me a enough that its getting aggrivating.
I dont know what part of "I dont want a %@#$%ing subscription to your trash paper" they cant seem to comprehend.

Its just a shame that trees get cut down to produce such a piece of shit like the CD.
The forums here are actually fun.
