Frigid weather seen as indicator of global warming | The Columb...

This winter's extreme weather -- with heavy snowfall in places and unusually low temperatures -- is actually a sign of how climate change disrupts long-standing patterns, according to a new report by the National Wildlife Federation. Full Story

It's fraud, contrived governance dressed up to look like science and it's worth fighting about. But this kind of thing would be lost on you since I'm sure your biggest intrest is who will be picked on "Who Gets To Marry The Millionaire Bachelor" or something on "Entertainment Tonight".

It's not about the temperature here in Ohio. It's about average the average global temperature. Yeah, it was 8 degrees this morning, meanwhile in Vancouver they might have to move Olympic events inland to higher elevations because it's been unseasonably warm.
The scam is when people try to pick one lower than average temperature andcite that as evidence that global warming is a hoax. It's funny how you don't hear people talking about global warming scams when crops are dried up in the summer.
aAnd, sowehow you freaks know What the earths average/optimal temperature should be. And from there, you can say where it needs to be? Tell me how YOU know that Ironycop, don't tell me what "scientists" say. After all the scandal exposes, they can't be trusted. Tell me how you know what the optimal/average temp should be. Tell me the scientific evidence that makes sense/proves what the optimal temp should be for the entire earth. For Ohio, or for Tokeyo, or for Moskow, or for Rio-(sorry, I know you have not put much thought into the southern hem.), or for the mountains in France, or for Istanbul? Tell me how yyoouu understand the science. Three years ago, scientists and politicos were using Atlanta, Georgia's drought as an example of proof of global warming. Just last year, the same guys were saying that the much needed abundance of rain that came and ended that same drought, was BECAUSE of man induced global warming. Without giving me that extreme weather crap,(because extreme weather has always happened-to begin or end-some other extreme weather), How do you freaks justify trying to have it BOTH ways? lol lol lol

Hey, can't we grow more food in colder places when colder places get a little warmer. This helps feed more poor people, right? I Forgot. These people putting the blame on man want there to be fewer people on earth-it is called population control and these experts also know the optomal amount of people that should be on the feverish planet.

NO. the AGW's forbid that anything good could ever come from the earth warming up even 1 degree C. If we say good, we want it hotter in the UK , they say "No, you will get colder, that's how it works". All climate change is guaranteed to be BAD, causing droughts, rain , floods, deserts, terrorism, tsunamis and hair loss.

Some of them are convinced that warming is about to reach a runaway stage and that it won't stop at one of either degrees F or C.
They've been persuaded that the 1.5ºF rise of the last 160 years is the fault of mankind alone and hardly any of it can possibly be natural.
This proves how easy it is to lead the masses by the simple installation of fear, turning a scientific hypothesis into probable fact through politics and advertising.
Few alarmists appear to believe in thirty year climate cycles or at least give them any valid credence.
This latest saga of mass hysteria is slowly going the same way all the others went, but this one has sadly caused a lot of damage already, some of it irreperable.
It will take a while to get back on track and get back to searching for alternative energy in a less rushed and more sensible manner.

It's also funny how some of those pushing global warming were also pushing global cooling in the 70s.
In the 70's pop rags like Newsweek toted global cooling. However, Science Journals published 44 science papers on global warming as opposed to 7 papers on global cooling.

You read the pop rags. You should have read the Science Journals.

Earthling, the one thing I guarentee the warmies WON'T take from your post is that, we, like all responsible, sensible citizens ALSO are FOR alternative energy sources, clean air/water, recycleing etc. Watch, in a few posts from now, some loser warmie will accuse you of wanting only coal/oil energy, accuse you of desireing dirty air/water, etc. Distortion, this is what 'using your emotions' does to logical thinking.

I understand they need scapegoats, people to blame for what they believe has gone wrong with the world and we're IT, as AGW believers they feel blame free.

Of course we all want alternative, clean energy, it's just that some of us are realists who understand that an overnight changeover is completely impossible, just as progress has always been.
It will happen slowly, but it WILL happen and the human race will be saved from evil warming, only to be faced with yet another conundrum in the future.

so "global warming" is caused by "global cooloing"? well it makes sense, sounds like a natural cycle, esp. considering the "ecologists" of the 70's were warning us of the coming ice caps.... so i guess global cooling will cause global warming again..... did u hear obama say climate is not weather? umm, what are they telling their obamatrons next....

I have a question to any scientest here. I have noticed that I am catching less fish the last few years. The weather seems to be a little cooler in that time but even on hot days, not catching as many. Now, I have noticed I'm getting about the same amount of bites but they're just not getting and staying on. I think this warmng earth deal might be on to something but someone told me it was all a big hoax.

The present Arctic sea ice extent is less than any previous year, by your state's entire area+!

Your weather disappointment means nothing at all.

Furthermore(or less), the total Arctic sea ice VOLUME loss from ~1985, amounts to the area of your state piled to a depth of ~40 to 50 meters. Now, that is weather change!

Your weather disappointment really really means nothing at all.

What is the matter LS? No body wants to play and you had to bring a 2 year old thread to the top......LOL

How about I bring up a 10,000 year old ice cap up that was at one time a mile plus thick over Ohio...Yeah climate changes all the time and has been through out the history of the planet.....

Go back to your globull warming thread......
