Frigid weather seen as indicator of global warming | The Columb...

Full story: Columbus Dispatch

This winter's extreme weather -- with heavy snowfall in places and unusually low temperatures -- is actually a sign of how climate change disrupts long-standing patterns, according to a new report by the National Wildlife Federation.

What a crock! Can there be anyone in this country who does not see that this is all a tissue of lies and faked science, created by marxists and mountebanks who want to put their hands in your pocket to pay for hotel suites and fancy restaurants in Copenhagen, swan about in private jets and stretch limos and establish a permanent world-wide administrative state run by condescending bureaucrats?

Right! It is getting cooler because it is getting warmer! Lather, rinse, repeat.

It's a lot less about science and a lot more about grants, funding, and governance/control, and tax revenues. It's NOT about beaurocrats wanting to do fancy or fun, frivolous excursions in frigid, snowy Jokenkeggin-->> that simply puts on display their hypocracy ("everyone cut back on emmissions whilst WE use up an extraordinary amount for a fraudulant-premise, get together"). It also shows they obviously must not believe their own GlowBull Whining lies. As a hunter, I do everything I can to shed good, honest, wholesome, lawabiding light on hunting and hunters. I would hurt the cause if I poached game animals that are for the enjoyment of the general public. I would break the public trust.

Hodge-podge, educate yourself and go to one of many "Climategate e-mail analysis" websites like (wheres Northie to slander this?) Scienceandpublipolicy. Check Phil Jones, Michael Mann, Ken Briffa, Tom Wigley, Tom Karl of NOAA, Pauchuria of the IPCC, manipulation of models, reducing temp sites from 6000 down to 1500 sites-excluding cooler and higher altitude sites, Himalayin glaciergate, Killamanjaro glaciers, etc.,etc.(and this is just the 'tip of the iceberg' yuk, yuk.) Then get back to us and tell us about conspiracy-->>you know, the one that all of the above say is going on about THEM!

Cyclical ice ages and preliminary cooling cycles are a direct result of decreased solar activity.Does this make any sense at all to all the bandwagon environmentalists?Enlighten yourselves and look up "little ice age"and "maunder sunspot minimum".The earth is cooling. Are we not shooting ourselves in the foot to tamper with the greenhouse effect?

All weather proves GW.
LIA ended a short while ago.
Warm phase started.
30 year cycles break up constant warming pattern.
That happened through the 19th and 20th century.
The Industrial Revolution coincided.
Which to blame?
Blame mankind, it's easier and more profitable.
Current warm cycle has ended.
It's expected back around 2040.
I won't be here to witness its return.
Adios cruel world.

"Richard Somerville, who was a lead writer of the 2007 report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, said the public needs to grasp that it is important to reduce carbon dioxide quickly because it stays in the atmosphere for centuries."

This quote is too complex for some the participants here to comprehend. As has been the case since the mid-1980's in the field of climate science this is know as global climate change instigated by global warming. Our mild climate over the past several thousand years has allowed a creature as slow and dim as humans to evolve to this point. If the climate continues to become more extreme with more extreme events, those dim slow creatures will be the first to become extinct. Some Darwin fellow tried to make that point way back when but some of these same folk know he was merely trying to destroy religion (though he was trained to be a clergyman) and created some of the early false science they refer to so glibly.

It's not about the temperature here in Ohio. It's about average the average global temperature. Yeah, it was 8 degrees this morning, meanwhile in Vancouver they might have to move Olympic events inland to higher elevations because it's been unseasonably warm.

The scam is when people try to pick one lower than average temperature andcite that as evidence that global warming is a hoax. It's funny how you don't hear people talking about global warming scams when crops are dried up in the summer.

You are right about the fact there are about five or six individuals who cruise the internet to discover news related to climate change and immediately repeat the same dogma opposing any modicum of actual scientific research. I would hope they are at least being paid by the Chamber of Commerce or some energy company, I'd hate to think they go to all of this trouble from pure ignorance.

It's also funny how some of those pushing global warming were also pushing global cooling in the 70s.

Stop-the-scam didn't say anything about Ohio. He said it was interesting how the people who are pushing the carbon emissions argument are also the ones taking private jets and limos to Copenhagen. Will one or two limos or jets make the earth blow up? No, but it would be nice to see a little consistency on the part of these global warming pushers.

When I was in elementary school back in the 70's they taught us about global cooling.I remember them stating with confidence that we would have glaciers as far south as Atlanta by 2010.Well,where are those glaciers!!!!!!!

Man can't predict weather more then 48-72 hrs ahead so what makes you have faith in their abilities to predict stuff involving millions of yrs.

I dont care if the world ends in 500 yrs I'll be long gone.

So many fallacies in your post, so many ways to shoot you down. Leave religion out of this discussion. Let's just talk pure science and integrity. Forget your "Appeals to Authority" and your "Appeals to Grandeur". Forget your attempt at talking down to us great unwashed. Forget the slander, resorce demeaning, name calling etc., etc., You are weak and predictable and an irrelevant parrott. You are good at repeating what you have heard and are mistaken to think we've not heard it before. If you think you can argue data integrity, and scientific premise, to put it short and sweet, then stay here and put forth. If you can not do that than go back to your church of Anthropogenic Global Warming alarmism and tainted "science", and bow before the exalted ones at the IPCC politics and world policy and their sidekicks at the CRU.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention- try to avoid the boring and predictable "Oh those stuuupid deniiiiars who are working for BIG ENERGY, and those EVIL coal and oil companies." "The DENIIIIARS must have investments in energy." "Those religious-FLAT EARTHERS actually believe something CONTRARY to what WE intallectuals believe" or "Those people are backed by big business" Save it, we've heard it all before and you look weak and petty.

Speaking strictly SCIENCE, Tell us what you know on this subject. Tell us SCIENTIFICALLY (without using fallacy, "Appeal to Authority" etc. as listed above [check the entire list above before you start]) how man causes global warming.
