$5,000 deductible (bronze) isn't "high"? I've never used $5,000 in medical services in a year in my entire life! Not even when my daughter was born!
Like I said, Che's a Medicaid recipient. There's no other explanation for her ignorance and disdain.

You are believing what the real people in power are telling you. The insurance company.
Sorry, you can't lay the blame for this mess on the insurance industry. They are working within the guideline that the ACA set in place 3 years ago. They invested time and money to change the way they do business to meet those guidline.

Under those new guidlines they were required to cancel plans that the people in those plans liked even though the whole time we were told the lie that if we liked our plan we could keep it.

What got my low deductable plan canceled was the fact it didn't cover birth control pill prescriptions or maturnity care. Even though the company I work for also had an option that covers those items that employees could choose if they wanted that coverage.

Now we have one high deductable plan that covers it all. Both groups lost in this case because the new plan cost more that either of the other plans.

The yearly increase of $1800.00 in my premiums is a small price to pay, now that as a 50 year old male, for the security in knowing I'm now covered 100%,once I meeet my deductable, for birth contol pills and Maternity care.

Most people won't. They will just watched the price and deductible go up.

You have yet to explain how the scenario you just described was different prior to October 1. Here's a hint. It wasn't. Here's another hint, the policies that aren't available anymore are those high deductible policies.
This is so ignorant you prove you're not a lawyer. Therefore, are you certifiably crazy (would explain why you're home all day and night and don't have to worry about insurance) or just a spawn of the Devil, who can't live without spreading hate wherever he lands?

Here's another hint: You're ignorant and hateful. And you DARED to masquerade as a lawyer?

(07/13) Midwest Employers Opting for High-Deductible Plans

Meanwhile, high-deductible health plans (HDHPs) accounted for 48.1 percent of the market, representing a 43 percent increase from last year, the survey revealed.

Because the premiums on low deductible plans have went through the roof (unless your employer is picking up all the increase).

You would be much better served if you calmed down and didn't leap to conclusions all the time based on limited information.
