My son is 14 yrs old and has trouble rememdering things expesically if he has to be mulitle tasking from one class to another. He was diynosis with adhd long time ago and took medication for it but he had a bad recation to one of those meds and we took him off of it. I'm afraid of putting him on anything else because he is active and all he needs help on is his lessons. I was like that when i was in school and i no he is just like me bradly passing. What can i get for me and for him that is over the counter and want hurt him?

I have an 11 yr old daughter. For the last 2 years it's been a nightmare. She does her homework but never turns it in. We have color coded everything and an agenda book.
Sometimes she forgets to bring her books associated with a subject home but what does come home .. gets completed.
I even sat last night and organized everything. There were at least 10 pages in each subject not turned in. I organized and and talked to her.. when she came home today, it was all still in there.
My heart is breaking because this is a child who always got good grades accept in math and now she is getting F's in everything..all due to homework.
She was reading by age 2 and got all A's. She has always had organization issues but this year baffles me since she has her work right with her in the class but when asked she says she doesn't have it

Christine, have you told her teacher(s) that you always make sure she does it and has it in her binder? If they know for sure she has it and she says "I don't" they can push and say "yes you do, please open your binder" or "come see me at the end of class". My son has the same problem. I also asked my son once why he did that and he said "i don't want other kids to see it" - he had an anxiety that other kids could see his handwriting (which is poor) and comment on it (which no one ever has). It's all in his head but an anxiety nonetheless that drives the behavior.
