woof
Monty has been dead for decades, he was a general in the British Army, so he fought against the Germans and Italians in WWII. That was the enemy he was referring to, though he may have said the quote in abstract.

It's funny that the wingnuts are always bringing up Stalin and Hitler but after losing a mere two presidential elections in a row their only recourse is to "exterminate" the majority of the people in the country.
that is one way to look at it; but as always it is wrong.

see.....an old fashioned philosophy if you worked hard, you would flourish.

your side does not work hard, they are taking.

considering you are stealing, then self defense for private protection may lead to extermination.

and your math is very incorrect.....20% of the population wants assault weapon ban

I could go on forever with statics you can't spin.

how in a free and equal society can a political platform demonize 1% of the population and get elected to inflict damage upon them not be considered an enemy; and be prepared to protect themselves from you at any cost?

can one man pay 15% of his income; and another 40% to just federal income tax?
this is based upon success of the individual who earns the most is punished the most.

but based on sex or race as a society we are prohibited by law in discrimination; but not success.
can we shout foul?
or is permission required by the glorious one acting as President in the White House.

and this is considered by people that the person paying the 40% is freeloading on their taxes

you can push people only so far before backed into a corner.

Obama speech was an empty appeal to his base; nothing he said he was going to do will get done. An beware of a president that didn't once use the word debt. By the time Obama is out of office, we will be lucky if there is enough money anywhere to pay for anything.

no....he just imposed the highest raise in taxes recorded ever in history on USA citizens.

worse....he is not finished.

so smart people avoid his policies current, or future.

did you know that since the sandy hook shooting, NRA membership rose 500,000 to date?

did you know every sporting goods store across this nation in the hunting department the shelves are bare?

did you forget half the population disagrees with current tax policy?

did you forget the branch of government that holds the checkbook disagrees with your parties opinion of fair is regarding taxation?

so now that all the hooray is cleared.....what is next when every agenda proposed yesterday at inauguration is met with a cement wall backed by the majority of USA citizens up to 80% depending on which poll you want to believe?

Listening to you, it is evident how clueless you are. Thanks for playing.

you will blame Bush or Congress, not your radical agenda.

Wow. It would be interesting to see the support for the numbers you cite.(The gun stuff notwithstanding. That industry is playing you guys like they were P.T. Barnum.) I will rely on your word for things when Texas divides.

hey junior....that was only the beginning

how about 25% more than 2012 on investment income.

payroll tax holiday gone

obamacare taxes on medical devices being implemented

and they are arguing now that the top 1% be taxed higher yet.

you can't read and apply math.

big surprise .....what you say.

see if you take the 2012 tax on investment income; and apply the 2013 rate to it, you will be paying 25% more.

might I suggest google for your search on 2013 tax rates. The US Gov page can assist you.

when you find your documentation, reality punches you in the face.

I think you might be using GOP math. You know, the same math you used to predict that Romney would win in an electoral landslide.

"Currently, long-term capital gains are taxed at a maximum rate of 15% and short-term capital gains at a maximum rate of 35%, both
rates effective through the end of 2012. Beginning in 2013, however, those rates are scheduled to increase significantly. The long-term
capital gain tax rate is scheduled to increase to 20%(an exception exists for certain “super long-term” capital gains related to assets
purchased after 1/1/2001 that may qualify for an 18% maximum rate). The top individual tax rate to which short-term capital gains
could be subject is 39.6%."

Now, I can only do normal math. In normal math, an increase from 15% to 20% is a 5% increase not a 25% increase on long term capital gains. In normal math, an increase from 35% to 39.6% is an increase of 4.6% increase not a 25% increase on short term capital gains.

What am I missing?

you are missing the ability to use math to solve simple equations.

you see the difference owed between 15% and 20% is 25%

no go sit and watch Sesame Street till you get it.

I am not a mathematician. That's why I went to law school. But the way you are trying to calculate it isn't valid because you aren't comparing whole numbers, you are comparing percentages. The difference between 15% and 20% on the whole is 5 percent. The percentage difference in what you pay depends on if the amount you owe goes up or down.

I think it really fascinating that the Rethugs just keep on giving us the gift that keeps on giving.

Even though poll after poll shows that most of America don't want anything they have to give.

It really is a shame that we rested on our laurels in 2010 and gave them a sliver of an opening to maintain some sense of relevance.

Our man Barack, however, had the right words in moving us forward. If the majority of Americans can really come together and prove to the delusional thugs that they're not wanted at our party, they'll just keep on circling the drain.

Teabaggers have been flushed, white nationalists are marginalized and on watch and even House convservatives are looking at the Paul Ryans askance. Faux News, in all her glory, is living in a revisionist version of history that's barely even recognizable.

Yesterday was a great da, celebrating with all my friends who came home from DC and hearing their stories was even brighter and the future's so bright I gotta wear shades.

Yes, I am a progressive Democrat, I've held a job most of my working adult life and I've never taken a dime of social assistance yet I recognize the need for it in a society that takes care of it's most vulnerable.

Hey, maybe that's a new slogan....We're not takers, we take care of others !!!! I'm likin' it !!!

It is really funny to me you people who proclaim gloom and doom to our currency because of the President. Do none of you read any of the economic forecasts which show our economy on the incline?? The markets almost completely collapsed during the last administration yet Bush continued to spend spend spend on unjustified wars. Why does no one mention that???

you need flash cards and a tutor for elementary math.

my calculation is not only valid....it is reality and factual.

now go play before you hurt yourself.

above only applies to taxpayers on investment income....you have no worries, you aren't in the group.
