The sad thing is he probably knocked her around a few times for calling after everyone left. Having been in the same situation and not wanting neighbors to know what was going on behind closed doors in a upscale suburb, my advice "Get out and be proud you did". It will probably take years for her to realize or to actually get the confidence to do it, but don't put up with it. Hopefully, if they have kids they don't witness it. And in the words of Dr. Phil (yes cheesy I know) "I'd rather be happy alone than sick with you".

So, let me get this straight: a Repub state senator (man-child?), who's part of the anti-choice, anti-birth control, anti-gay, anti-union, anti-working class movement in the state, went home, domestically abused his wife, then bullied her (or threatened her) to drop the claim, and now gets a free pass out of jail to go back to his six figure "job", while I (and most of us) have to worry about job security, the economy, health care, and whether or not our family members and neighbors will be able to depend on their social security check next month after paying into the system for decades? Like others, you have to wonder, what makes these petulant grown children more capable of deciding how we chose to live our lives when they can't even live by the golden rule. I'm not a religious person, but I do know the Bible, and seems to me this Christ figure had a lot to say about the hypocrites who "prayed" loudly and openly but then didn't walk the walk or live the life of a righteous man. If this new holy-roller Xtian right wing movement was really about God, they'd treat their fellow human beings a lot more decently.

Makes me sad this is what has happened to the Repub party; run by greedy little petulant, anti-education, anti-culture, unpatriotic, unGodly, chickenhawk, cowardly fools. Way to be a big man, threatening a woman with a gun. I cannot believe this is the same party of people like Teddie Roosevelt, Truman and Eisenhower. Appealing to the extreme right is why folks like Clark defected from the party, and it's a damn shame they're gonna drag us all to Hell in a handbasket appealing to a small, nasty, extreme group of people. This isn't how Godly people act or treat one another.

Hey, now! We union thugs resent that remark. I'm gonna go get the deadliest weapon in my arsenal and sort you out! Oh, wait... that would actually be a 6-year old Honda Civic.

Obviously I need to join the Republican party and buy a fifty-cal handgun then get a concealed carry permit, a bottle of Jack, and start beating my wife. Would people vote for me? My guess is YES!

Clearly some more of the Jordan family values. I am sure his dad is the same way. Just look at Kris's mom. She hasn't been allowed to change her hair since the 80's

Let's send a clear voice to the Republicans in Delaware County and across this state. We will not stand for unethical behavior and conduct unbecoming of a public official.

I have voted Republican since I was 18. I am now 47 and I could never vote or support a party that took away my retirement and then cut budgets and took my job.

Shame on those in charge in the Senate. No more double standards.

Kris, by staying in office you are saying it is ok to abuse your wife and carry a firearm while drinking. I agree resign.

He has supported combining alcohol and guns. And when he has done so, he threatens his wife with gun violence. There is a huge problem with that. He also campaigned on family values. Domestic violence is not a family value I support. He does not represent me, and the majority of the people in the state. Resign Mr. Jordan.

Yeah, we'll pray for you all right, we'll pray that this self-righteous little sniveling d-bag resigns so we don't ever have to see his rat-faced mug again. This is what happens when underqualified posers touting all this moral majority nonsense are elected to office. These people have no real life experience other than in the make believe world of politics. Peel the onion and this is what you really get, a self-serving narcissist with the emotional intelligence of a five-pound bag of gravel.

He made a threat with a GUN involved. That should MANDATE charges.
Plus it may have been the first 911 call but you can bet it wasn't the first incident between those two that should have resulted in domestice violence charges. Now both will scarmable to "cover up" or "downplay" the "incident" as a "misunderstanding" to save 1 or both political careers.
Now you can see why no one trusts those in public office ..........
He needs to resign.

He didn't threaten anyone with the gun the 911 dispatcher kept pushing the gun issue. They both have their CCW so they would have guns in the house. Please show me where he actually threatened. Someone with the gun. Just because there was a gun in the house didn't mean he threatened anyone with it.

Now when this nut kill her the family gonna make it seem as if the police didn't do there job. She stated, "She was tired of it and can't take it anymore". So that tells you it wasn't the first time. And won't be the last.
