You always were a helpful little girl. I'm sure he was happy to see his camels after that cold experience.

been to moonville tunnel a hundred or more times. been all over that area. all times of the year..all hours of the day and night. never saw anything there. did have some fun making scary noises when others were down there looking for a ghost.
did get to meet the grandson of the engineer that died in the train wreck. he was at the train wreck location (which by the way is not at the tunnel) and he had a metal detector looking for pieces of the train.

No, I think it was that rancid goat hide that Hassan left on the sliding board at Imagination Kingdom.

When the kids were young, we went to Chautauqua lake every weekend. I always explored around the lake and I found an cemetery on Strumph Rd.
I found old tombstones dating back to the civil was days, of solders and unmarked stones of children and family members who died and were not identified. The date was there but no name. So sad.
I made etchings of some old ones. I got the spookiest feeling while roaming in the cemetery, like someone was watching me. It sent chills up and down my spine..needless to say, I wasn't there long....
Some day I would like to return........the cemetery is on a corner on a hill with a huge tree hanging overhead.

There was an old cemetery on the east side of Hargus Lake like that. Many civil war veterans and families like you mentioned buried there. Could be that the children had died at birth and hadn't been named?

That could be.....they died so young in those days...no meds or sanitation.

I love books on the civil war. There are so many brutal stories, it breaks my heart.
I used to go to civil war enactments, in Burton. They dressed in costume, down to their undies. It's a great sight to see..
I have a hat from a Yankee soldier and some pics.

The other night, while on the iPad! watching a baseball playoff game, a spider came down on a web right in from of my face and and landed on the iPad. I reacted, of course....slammed the lid shut and smashed it on the iPad. EEEEEWWWWWWWWW..
Needless to say I felt itchy all night........lol
