<quoted text>Why couldn't it happen if a state legislature passed a measure calling for one? The feds can't do a thing about the residents of the state voting in it. Now what would happen after that is anyone's guess. Did you happen to miss the marijuana votes in Colorado and Washington three months ago?
You're a "lawyer," right?

A referendum is not secession. Or didn't they teach you that in "law" school?

Glock and Sig have discount programs for police officers purchasing weapons for.themselves or for duty. Time these programs ended. A cop should get a better price.than a tax payer buying a weapon. Active duty military (even national guard reservists) can get this discount too. I as a federal employee can get the discount too or so I've been told by a local dealer. I do think a multiple weapon buy should qualify for a discount. I don't mind the reduced cost for active military, but never did like that Sig or Glock let law enforcement have the guns at cheaper prices. Just like many local law enforcement buy guns extremely cheap through non public police auctions. They often will cherry pick the merchandise before it hits public auction. I have had a few LEO's family and friends tell me this.

That sentence leads you to the conclusion that I believe that secession and referendum are the same thing? Who are you, Karnac?

"Nowhere else to go" and "Fatal ground" huh? That's when it starts, up in NY.
What about Appalachia? Two different fronts? This all goin down at the same time or what? What's your inside sources say Karl?
This is exciting.

I was referring to concepts of Sun Tzu.

NY is part of Appalachia, thanks to RFK, and an admission of geology, even though its people are mainly not Scots-Irish in orgin.

See the khaki colored counties, that's "Appalachia" in the cultural context.

Now let's put this all into a little perspective.
I don't know anything about guns, but Olympic Arms and York Arms? Never heard of them. Their boycott of New York sounds like like the Mormon Church boycotting Ohio.
Sounds like a PR stunt by gunmaker equivalents of Sharon Angle, meant to whoop up all the lemmings who watch Fox and believe everything they say.
Sorry, but I can't watch Fox anymore without Brit Hume and Major Garrett. The gay guy on at 7:00 is okay, but they need a new schtick.
I used to like Fox, but there's too much sameness on that channel anymore.
If you are mildly active in guns, you've probably heard of LaRue, its one of the leading mfgers in the country, and is regularly visited by the leading pols of Texas.

If the LDS boycotted Ohio, it would crimp us a bit. The Jews you hate know the power of the market, they take no prisoners economically. The Muslims in the Middle East claim to be boycotting Israel, but I think its the other way around, the Muslims are doing far worse, ignoring their prosperous neighbor who could provide the expertise to bring them out of poverty.

No shit, Einstein. I was refering to Karl's Appalachian referendum on independence. Jesus, you are like talking to a child.
"Appalachia" does not exist in a political concept, excepting the "Appalachian Regional Commission" of Great Society ruin.

It is the state legislatures who could decide to order a referendum on independence, and then a referendum on joining a New Confederacy.

Who goes first?

Ideally, Texas.

Of the Appalachian states, West Virginia, though it needs an outlet to the sea and an international airport to form a real country.

Alabama is part of Appalachia, and has access to the sea, with a population that would favor getting out.

<quoted text>... As was the same attitude the English had toward the Scots.
The English view the Scots as welfare leeches that are overweight and violent.

This is partially correct, but Scotland is the most left-wing Anglosphere jurisdiction.

Now, they also have a lot of offshore oil, but little else.

The English largely want the Scots out, the referendum in 2014 will likely fail in Scotland, but it would easily pass in England.

Now in the past, the English greatly denigrated the Scots, this underestimation of their ways is why it took so long to integrate Scotland in. It only joined in 1707 because the old Kingdom was broke.

(Scotland and England have had the same monarch since James I&VI)

The better example for us would be Flanders (Belgium), that movement is right-wing.

Though if you scratch a blue state lib, they largely think the same of the red states as the English think of Scotland.(What they forget is why the red states are poorer, Obama won the five whitest states in the country...)

When we have 20 NY counties condemning the new ban there, imagine when there is nowhere else to go, and we are put on fatal ground. That's when the fighting will start.
Is it a good idea to reveal the master plan like this? Loose lips sink ships!
