<quoted text>Your stupidity is epic, hissy twink:
Almost 11 years ago, Pope John Paul II, in an address to the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, caused quite a stir by declaring that "new knowledge has led to the recognition of the theory of evolution as more than a hypothesis." Some Catholics, particularly traditionalists, believed that the Holy Father was stepping outside of his competence in making judgments on scientific matters. Others, including Catholic scientists, welcomed Pope John Paul's reaffirmation of the traditional Catholic principle that "Truth cannot contradict truth." In other words, to the extent that the theory of evolution has a solid scientific basis, it must be compatible with Catholic doctrine.

Genesis is a parable. I was taught that by the nuns in parochial school 40 years ago. Come on, Bruce...you people are big on symbolism. Just look at all those rainbows.

I believe he's trying to talk about literalism but fails spectacularly.
He's poorly educated, unlike the stereotypical twinks the media showcases.

Nope your twirl isn't working...it is when you say he didn't. It's hypocritical to condemn and judge, gay people citing Darwin.

As usual, you've missed the entire point:

Homosexual behavior fail both the biblical test AND the secular test.

<quoted text>
A contract cannot legally bind someone in violation of existing laws.
It is known as an unenforceable clause.
An example from landlord-tenant law for example might be a rental agreement that gives the landlord the right to seize and hold the tenant's property, or to lock the tenant out of a property based on non-payment of rent. This violates existing tenant protections in Ohio law that require a legal eviction through the courts and a supervised "set-out" of tenant possessions.
Now, a landlord can write up a rental agreement that violates protections, but it is not legally binding because it violates protections in the law.
Get it?
Now--I am not about to predict how this one is going to play out. Too much new territory. But, it appears to be far from settled law and there have been recent decisions that could trend in either direction.
But your claim that the contract supercedes the law is flat-out wrong.
Nope.

I'm not "wrong". You can't change the terms of a contract once it's executed.

Your landlord/tenant example assumes that the contract wasn't binding. Hale's own union didn't even back her on this.

I'm not supporting biblical literalism in Genesis. Are you mentally disabled or a high school dropout? You certainly aren't educated by any definition of the word.

LOL Uneducated only in your repressive cult? See it's OK for you to ignore the literalism of certain parts of the bible, when it suits your purpose - to deny rights, persecute, dictate morality, justify bigotry and fire someone; It then becomes SO important to use it literally.....And yet you fail to see your own hypocrisy...I don't think I'm the one that's uneducated...

You truly are uneducated. Anyone with any sort of liberal arts education knows how the Bible is constructed and the context of the books as written and interpreted.
