Carla Hale, 59, a lesbian P.E. teacher, has filed a grievance against the diocese of the Ohio Catholic school where she worked for 19 years until administrators fired her for "violating moral law." The Cleveland Clinic probably couldn't fill the void. It's primary mission is research medicine and specialty cancer care.
Here in Columbus, you blow out Mt. Carmel (3 separate hospitals), and you overload OSU hospitals, immediately. Mt. Carmel West is the major hospital on the west side (Doctor's Hospital further down Broad is a small hospital, no Level 1 trauma). Mt. Carmel East, as George pointed out, IS THE primary center for all of east Columbus. St. Ann's in the north is smaller, but still like the other two, are level 1 trauma and I think a backup facility in case of a major disaster such as what happened in Boston. OSU would be very difficult to get to should there be a disaster like that in Boston--315 and 670 are nasty during certain periods. Response times here critical, dufus.
Try again. You are so determined to slam Che and Duke that you are typing out emotional responses. You should have paused a moment and considered that Che does live in NEO.

Cleveland Clinic, located in Cleveland, Ohio, is a nonprofit, tax-exempt academic medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education. The Cleveland Clinic is the parent of the Cleveland Clinic health system.

The Cleveland Clinic was established in 1921 with the same mission that continues today: better care for the sick, investigation of their problems and further education of those who serve. The founders recognized that it is in the best interest of patients to pool the talents of medical specialists to develop, teach and apply the best medical techniques.

Cleveland Clinic’s main campus is located near Cleveland’s historic University Circle and includes a tertiary care hospital, a children’s hospital, a medical school, a research institute, an outpatient clinic, 26 specialty institutes including facilities for heart care, digestive disease, cancer, and eye care, and supporting labs and facilities on a 162 acre campus. Cleveland Clinic also operates 16 family health centers throughout Northeast Ohio that are staffed with Cleveland Clinic primary care physicians, as well as many of its medical and surgical specialists.

Consistent with its tripartite mission, the Cleveland Clinic’s primary program services are focused on patient care provided on a charitable basis, medical research, and education of both medical professionals and the community.

"Reasonable assumption"? Maybe.

To everyone that thinks this was wrong that she was fired for violating the terms of her employment contract also supports that everyone that has been fired for being drunk on doped up at work should not be fired also?

People you got to get you heads out of your asses and look at why she was fired. Her being gay is not the reason, the reason is she violated her contract.

Gays want the same rights as Straight people well, I would say that if she sues and wins it would look more like gays have better rights!!1

Queers are defined by what they do.

Specifically, all queers consider sodomy and abortion to be virtuous, and practice sodomy and abortion frequently.

Sodomy is anal or oral copulation between any combination of men, women, and beast.

Any heterosexual that practices sodomy or abortion is a queer. The opposite of a queer is a straight person, and straight people don't do sodomy or abortion. LGBTQ are all queer because they promote sodomy and abortion as virtues.

Sodomy is not sex, and sodomy is not an act of reproduction.

Queers are confused by these facts because they believe their own bullsh!t.

I didn't state no one and no institution were irreplaceable. Don't put words into people's mouths. However, the medical infrastructure, at least within Ohio, would be severely crippled if you pulled out Catholic hospital systems. They happen to perform a lot of the work within the medical system here, often within urbanized areas (treating anything from gunshot wounds, med-evac'd victims in highway accidents, childbirth, minor wound care, pediatric well care, etc.). No one said you had to go to one; however, don't get into a car wreck in Ohio and get helicoptered. You may very well be placed into a level 1 trauma unit in a Catholic hospital. You will have no choice, you go to the nearest level 1. Period.
And if they ceased to exit tomorrow, the market will fill the void. No big deal.

Wow, I learned something new today.

I never knew that people engaging strictly in homosexual sexual acts had a grave need for abortions, and considered having abortions to be virtuous conduct.

I'm always amazed at what I learn here.

If the question is whether I am queer, the answer is no.

As I already stated, if you do queer, you are queer.

If you do queer proclivities frequently, you are a flaming queer.

If you promote queer proclivities as a legal privilege, as many queers do through their national victim cult scheme, you are a queer scumbag shyster.

When you stop doing queer things, you cease to be queer.

Queers have convinced many people, especially women and rednecks, that queer proclivities are virtues and that sodomy is sex.

Crack a high school biology text and set yourself free.

"The common ground for the LGBT liberation and the reproductive justice movements has a long and rich history even though we have often been strategically divided. Reproductive freedom was a lynchpin of the modern feminist movement of the 1960s and 1970s. New contraceptives and reproductive technologies liberated women from unwanted pregnancy as a consequence of heterosexual sex. When women could take control of their reproductive destinies, they also had more control over their own sexual pleasure. The freedom and legitimacy of sexual activity without reproduction as an outcome is as fundamental to the liberation of LGBT people as it is to heterosexual women and their male partners."

The most strident advocates of elective abortion are lesbians and other queers.

I think that you have identified the primary impetus driving the anti-sodomite train.

One might as well call for legislation criminalizing masturbation, start building prisons on every other street corner, and amputating the hands of those hired to staff the facilities.

But if they really are lesbians or queers, then surely you must admit, regardless of their advocacy one way or another, they would have absolutely no need whatsoever for an abortion.

But hey...keep on hatin.

Well, no need for us to keep treating you civilly. Thanks for "coming out," Bruce.
If what the two of you've been doing on here the last few days is what you call being civil, your mothers need to be slapped.

I stand by my statements and characterization of you two.

What's funny is I wasn't referring to you in the post but you apparently thought I was. Why did you react that way?
It's called guilt. It's what happens when your conscience reminds you that you aren't all that and a bag of chips.

Key words "of the Parish". Individual parishes don't have any idea how much money the Diocese is taking in so stop trying to lie about it.

You only know what the Church decides to let you know. Stop acting like the RCC is some great democracy brimming with Sunshine Law rules and good financial oversight.

Good Lord, do you not know that Italy has actually arrested officials of the Vatican bank for money laundering?

You recently posted something about being civil. Maybe in your world being deliberately deceptive is part of being civil and moral but not in my world.

Face it. You subscribe to a religion that employs and protects KNOWN child molesters, bribes people into silence, and openly admits it wants total control of the world's religious laws and thinking (sort of odd for a group that says it's focus is on the next world and the afterlife).

Explicitly expressing what?

As I said earlier, the mention of her partner in an obit is no indication of their sexual activity anymore so than mentioning brothers and sisters means they are in an incestuous relationship. What does your grandmother's wedding ring explicitly represent? Her sex life or her values?

It's so comical to me when I realize that Paul's letter to the Roman's was intended and written as his indictment against the behaviors you are exhibiting right now!

The GENTLEMAN you addressed knows far more about Scripture, Church History, manners, and decency than you can hope to imagine.

And I'd like to point out he is not trying to use religious freedom as a defense for religious discrimination and persecution.

You are such a hypocrite. You rage when ever the church is attacked or questioned in any way, claiming it's a great conspiracy and religious persecution of "true christians". Yet when it comes to the true mark of a true Christian (compassion and forgiveness) you have none and gleefully join the mobs ready to burn the heretics!

Your slogan, "prepared in mind and resources" looks really cool in Latin, Dude.

Makes ya look smart using a slogan from S. Carolina, and in Latin!

Wow.

Now all you have to do is understand what it really means because it's obvious to me you still have a lot of maturing to do.

LMAO!
